Judy wondering. It seems to me that everybody with a Z30 has already been a BB(10) owner.

Any converts from iOS or Android?

With Z30's introductory premium price, only with those experiences in BB10 and fell in love with it, will take the risk... others will wait... and see...

Really though, would anyone who just bought the Z30 as their first BlackBerry device be coming straightaway to CB?

I know, I know, wishful thinking.

May not count on the question, but that's huge in my book! Welcome back! Would love to hear what brought you back, but don't want to hijack a thread. You should start one about what brought you to Z30! (don't put down the other platforms though, it'll get you jumped and we're aiming for a nicer politer CB)

The Z30 will be my first BB10 device. I'm coming from a BB Curve way back, then iPhone 3GS, then Samsung Note 2, and soon BB Z30 . I own a Playbook and like that as a tablet - like the multitasking and how you switch between apps, and like the gestures. BB10 is similar so it's natural for me to want a BB10 phone. But I wanted a large screen so I passed on the Z10. The Z30's 5" screen is big enough for me, and I'll like the Hub, flash in the browser (which not alot of people seem to talk about, but for me it's important as there are still many sites with embedded videos that are flash only), and also the multitasking.

As soon as Rogers makes it available I'll upgrade to the Z30.

I'm sorely tempted. Been an android user for many years, before that ios. The only thing stopping me is that I can't find any stores with the z30 I can pick up and play with. If I could, then I'd probably be in the gang

Z10 was my first seriously smart phone.
Never had an Android. Nor iPhone.
Never had any BlackBerry before the Z10,
but I admired BlackBerry since the beginning
since "Way Back" when pagers were big.

This site, Crackberry, has BlackBerry fans. Has anyone seen
a Z10 user manual that can be read using a mobile phone browser?

Z10 was my first seriously smart phone.
I got it so I could be mobile while remaining hyper connected.
I'm hyper connected. With or without BlackBerry.

But, there isn't any app to give me help files.
And, worse yet, there isn't EVEN anything optimized
for mobile viewing (but Crackberry is optimized for m
obile viewing). Kudos to Crackberry. Shame on Heins.

Now, should I upgrade to Z30 or should I wait.. .

Money isn't a concern here. Service is.
Intelligence is. Consistency is. The concern I'm
expressing might be the same concern that a million
other first timers shall express. "Would you please
    be consistent?"

I know many people who are using a small fraction
of their phone's capabilities. They can all afford to pay
to have a better phone. NOW. Money isn't a concern.

So, let's see if the Z30 can be sold to first-time users.
For that, it needs help files inside the phone, and online
    documentation, that is optimized-for-mobile-screens.

It's been eight months since the Z10 came out.
I find it hard to fathom that I'm the first to point out the need
to have a user manual that can be read on the "smartphone".

    Proves my point. Thank you.

This isn't optimized for mobile browsing.
One has to pinch to enlarge, then scroll horizontally a lot.
Doing so often taxes the cpu and causes a slow
down or a reboot. Ta daaa.

Maybe they like talking in third person...

I love my Z10; I bought it in February after reading all the reviews.
I had to bring it in to replace the screen, I had these little dead pixels.
During that time, I seriously went through Z10 withdrawals, missing my Z10, and happy to have it back.

I would consider the Z30, but enjoying my Z10.

I just use the extensive user manual, help files and video tutorials built into the phone. Works pretty darn nice.

The 9900 would have been the last big blackberry 7 release prior to the 10 series. That was about two years (this August). People should be coming off contract now. We should soon have a better idea of uptake from current BB users.

Both my wife and I will be coming to BB with the new Z30 from the old Samsung Androids we currently have. I had a bold 9000 way back when, and my wife will be a complete noob. I will pick up the phones on Tuesday either through MTS or BELL. I'll let you guys know how our transition goes.
I came on CB to get more information about the Z30 after I tried the Z10 with a colleague of mine and loed the experience. What I saw was ressuring and comforting... I can't wait to get my hands on my phone now. I just hope both white and black will be available as my wife really wants the white one

I will be getting the Z30 on Telus. It will be my first BB10 device. I used a BB Tour, Bold 9700, Torch 9800, iPhone 4S and currently using Galaxy S3 (used in that order) . I really like what the z30 has to offer. Big screen, BB Hub, gestures, build quality, but most importantly I need a better communication device for emails. After sleeping on the Z10 and learning about BB10 I don't think any OS compares. iOS was very dry for me and too small of a screen which is why I made the switch to Android. Gonna miss the live widgets on Android tho...

Anyways I've told a few people about the device. They had no idea what it was or what BB10 was. But now they really like it and are considering buying it too!
