The issue brought up by the OP is an interesting and important one:

What are sales of the Blackberry Z30?

Nobody's talking specifics. But we know that overall sales have tanked in the most recent quarter (telephones down 49%, total revenues down 56%). The quarter included Z10/Q10 activity but not much, if any, Z30 activity.
Informal reports abound about low sales of the Z30 and factual reports identify the carriers who have decided to not carry the model.
I don't believe there are any people out there who think that people aren't buying Z30 phones. Some are being bought.

But probably not many. Not many at all.

Am pretty sure I will get one. I rather like it. But am not in a hurry. Not as much as a few weeks ago. There should be plenty left.

Interesting. I believe there would be more sold if AT&T would carry the Z30. I would get one tomorrow if they did. I've looked into an unlock Z30 however mixed reviews on how well it will work on AT&T.

I'm in Ontario and in the last two weeks I have seen four of the z30 and my brother just picked up one two days ago and he can't believe how far ahead of the iPhone it is I use the z10 and it is an amazing phone. Black berry should stand up a say enough is enough with these unbelievable American carriers and there bull. And even the Canadian carriers that constantly telling people that the z10 is not a good phone. An that *** from Citigroup has no idea what he's talking about

Hmm here in the icy cold north and home country of the BlackBerry I just talked to one of my carriers business reps and they are moving from 10 to 20 a day! Now that's all phones but she said it's about half Q10, and then split between the Z10 and 30 so that's 5 Z30's a day! Through one of there two corporate business stores here

Also thought I would add that there is a serious perception problem this rep I talked to about at the carrier business store has most people saying either " I didn't know BlackBerry still existed or there's no damn way I'm buying a phone of a company that's going under "

They need to amp up their marketing worldwide NOW, or this will become a self-fulfilling prophecy for all the naysayers

On tweakers.net a dutch site they have a poll which brand will die this year.

BlackBerry get 54% of 7000 votes and people really thinking blackberry sucks.

Also in my company. An operator in the Netherlands. The head sales director ,when she visit and we ask her about the blackberry Z30 she answered "does blackberry still exists ". WTF we are a mobile service operator and that is the answer. That's why we don't selling blackberry Z30.

I don't know but it looks nobody taking blackberry seriously.

There also seems to be a morbid fascination with hoping BlackBerry dies, with deriding anyone who owns one, or is thinking of buying one, it's like freaking high school bullying out here, everywhere I go the initial reaction when people figure I have a Z30 not a samsung, is one of disgust or complete laughter.

It likes it cool to hate blackberry it makes people feel important. I just don't know why

That's one way to see it... but it doesn't really represent the population... unless, we have an idea of Z30's breakdown or damaged by users in percentage...

The most accurate observation is go to a mall, and count how many people you observe using their mobiles... and from that population, how many of them is actually using Z30...

Mall will mostly be youth and that tends to equal iPhone

    Actually, that is 2.5 to 5 Z30's a day.

Even with such a small sample, there may be a good insight that the Q10 is twice as popular as the Z10, twice the seller as the Z30. That is consistent with Chen's commitment for a new BB10 QWERTY phone in 2014.

The Z30 is the best kept secret right now since BlackBerry (or Verizon) does not promote the device where I live (in the NYC area) at all. That being said, I've seen quite a few Z30s in the wild recently. I hardly see any Z10s (in the year since the phone launched I've seen maybe a dozen) but I do see lots of old Curves, 9900/9930 Bolds, and Q10s.

The more I learn about the Z30 the more I like it. I may pick one up to replace my Z10 when BlackBerry sells an unlocked GSM version.

You won't be upset I promise that. I was hesitant at first due to my love for the keyboard, but going to the z30 may be the best decision I made all last year I kid you not. It's a solid platform and if you're coming from the z10 I bet you'll love it just as much as I am.

I realize that, but the OP was jumping to conclusions saying that since there are a few where he is that must mean there must be a ton of users out there. There just isn't any logic behind that.
it was more of an expression than a logical statement. went right past your head.

never seen anything other than iPhones at the mall. I'll see Androids in waiting rooms. I've never seen a Z10 (other than mine), Q10 (with guts), nor the Z30, not even at a store.

Yeah, there isn't much logic around here anymore. Just statements. Who needs it? Anyone can just make expressions without logic and that's ok.

But that would only give you a picture of who uses which phone AT THE MALL. How is that a scientific sample? It's just as skewed as anything else.

The mall is probably about the most accurate sample of that size considering that people of all ages, genders, races, etc go to malls.
