Just curious how many you are and how do you think of Z30 and it's learning curve?

I came from Z10 so it was really smooth and I fell in love in day one.

9850 to the 30. From hanging out here wasn't much of one. The tutorial at setup shows all that is need and then you just dig into settings.

So learning curve wise, it was OK for you guys, but how do you like the device comparing to your "classic" BlackBerry devices?

I was also a bit worried about the learning curve...coming from a Bold 9650.
Turned out to be a non-issue.

Loved the z30 on day one. And love it on day nine.

    Super phone!

BTW. I also did a lot of research and watched all the videos I could find before deciding on the z30 over the so called competitors.

    Very glad I did.

    I would not go back.

Edit: I'm one that would've left if BBOS was the only thing offered by BBRY.

So basically you guys were sold by CrackBerry, because you read so much about Z30 before pull the trigger.

For the guys don't visit CB, the chance is slim for them even consider Z30.

    Maybe BlackBerry is indeed screwed.

I had a Torch 9810 before picking up my Z30, and to be honest I would have picked up the Z10 if it weren't for the fact that I was already aware of something bigger and better coming later in from BlackBerry. I'm glad I waited.

Truth be told, this phone really is incredibly good, and if it had a half-decent advertising job behind it, could have sold much better. But bear in mind a lot of people still have the mindset of a major app gap (don't get me wrong, it's there, but it is becoming less and less of a reason) and older chunkier devices. When people see my phone the usual reaction is "... wait that's a BlackBerry???"

Came straight up from a curve 9300, to the z30. I was going to go with z10, when that came out. Held off for contract to expire, then rumors of the Z30 surfaced. I waited for the phone to be released. Have had no issues with any learning curve, although I did read the entire user manual while I waited for the phone to be release in Canada.

I came to the Z30 by way of the Bold 9780 running BBOS 6.0. Needless to say, I'm thrilled to be running what feels like a modern smartphone. As for a learning curve, I didn't notice much, though I have been using a PlayBook since day one, so most of the gestures feel like second nature at his point.

    I went from a bold 9900 to a z30.

    Pros
Lots more apps, I actually use my phone even more
    The hub is amazing
    The predicted text is good
Screen is so much better for YouTube and documents
    Feel is more modern
The camera is good. On the 9900 if you took a photo of a business card you could not read
    No need for bis

    Cons
Kept looking for the home and track pad when I first got
Blackberry protect is not as good
The alarm is poor compared to os7. I have been woken with alerts even when these have been disabled
The screen will often and randomly do into landscape mode. I have had to run screen locked in portrait
Battery compartment next to impossible to open

Came from a Curve 9300 to a Z30 in December. One thing I noticed was that once I had used the Z30 for a week it was extremely difficult to type on my old phone, having gotten used to the virtual keyboard. I'm one of those people who doesn't miss the "tool belt" buttons from my old BlackBerry, the Z30 is very quick to learn how to use!

Though, using an iPad is confusing now since I try and swipe up to close applications :P

9720 & 9900 to Z30 ... adapted quickly but miss being lightning fast in multitasking, also now i'm too careful and a bit paranoid when it comes to handling the device, the 9900 and the 9720 were like Thor's Hammer, mighty and indestructible

Went from a 9900 to a z10 and loved it even tho it was missing alot of features, the new OS I mean. I then changed to the z30 back in Dec from the z10 and have absolutely no regrets. I'm loving how the os is slowly evolving and getting better.

I had no real problems moving from os7 to bb10 in all honesty.

I'm lucky. I use a pocket pouch which doesn't cover the top of the phone. Sometimes I put my phone in my top jacket pocket. I have now bent over 3 times to pick something up on concrete and out falls my phone right on the unprotected top. Just one small chip in a corner and it is still working fine.

I try to remember not to put my phone in that pocket now lol.

So I'd say it's still built pretty tough.

Went from BlackBerry Bold 9930 to Z30 after much research and 94% favorable reviews on Verizon and Amazon. Gave up my old keyboard kicking and screaming and amazingly didn't take long to learn to tap and flick. That was my biggest fear in switching. Bonuses with the Z30 are the great battery, speakers, radio, and 4G LTE which is wicked fast and has a stronger signal / reception than my old Bold 9930.

I love the kb on the 30. I can type garbage and it pretty much corrects my garbage to what I was trying to type. My 9850 on the other hand was bad and slow when typing.

They are just too pretty to be treated roughly but ya I'm sure they are very tough, but I don't have the guts to test.
