I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your camera and bugs. Maybe it is because of the leak...I have a few bugs on my .1055 leak as well.

I'm using the Z10 and my camera is actually fantastic. I really like it. The Z10, Q10 and Z30 all have the same camera. I think the .1055 leak is being unco-operative with your Z30.

I would strongly advise that you change to the official OS and let us know how it is after that.

I think some people are being rude because of the wording that you chose in your OP and tread title. It does seem like it is baiting hate etc.

The Techradar comparison of the Z10 and the iPhone 5 cameras showed that the Z10 is actually a better camera - so this looks like it is a software issue on your leak.

Anyway, I really hope you come right with the device...I wish I could have one.

I have found that grabbing the focus reticle (or whatever it's called) and pointing at something to force it to focus sometimes has better results.

I agree with lerxster. I love my Z10 cam To be able to adjust exposure level and focus by dragging the center reticle is really great and give me the flexibility to express my photo style.

And post taking pix, I use built in editor to adjust brightness, bring color to life with saturation, heightened contrast and add warmer color balance, the results are fantastic.

I keep telling myself that soon as the official 10.2.1 is released it will change but I'm so fed up of using the leak and things closing and glitches and the rubbish camera it's making me fall out with the z30 maybe I just don't understand all the technical stuff too well to get the most from it who knows. Having come from iPhone and Android BlackBerry is still very much a business phone and not suited to someone looking for more.

Yeah... after trying to take some pictures at the mall today, I will agree that the Z30 camera, specifically, is not so great. I'm running the 10.2.1.1055 leak - hopefully the official leak will improve the camera somehow. My HTC Thunderbolt has the same specs, but the pictures and video were more focused and had better quality.

The 1055 on my z10 is very buggy. It's hard to get a good picture. Especially trying to get it in focus. Did u experience that on the 30?

I've removed the leak and gone back to official Software. It's ok I suppose. Not great! But I can't afford a new phone so will have to just get on with it until my contract ends in 19 months...

As for the comment about "5-10" hour old food, erm it was fresh and from the very posh solicitors office I work in! It's potatoes and ragu hardly food for a heart attack or cholesterol ha ha

I'd your not happy with the phone I say go with what makes you happy. Life is too short to wait around for phone updates. If you like the iPhone go for it. BlackBerry isn't for everyone and if a camera is a priority for you, apple is a much better choice as the BlackBerry camera is not good

I agree I love the z30 and working with it on a daily basis is great however. Taking pictures is hit and big time miss. On one day my front facing camera was crap. Serious lack of focus. Then literally restarted my phone and it was really good. I think it's a software issue. The Camera is important to me for taking photos of my lil lad. But I often find myself going back to my htc one purely for its focus and shutter speed. Z30 for everything else though.

I'm on day 11 of my 30 experiment using a Bold 9930 as my daily driver, and I'm not sure I want to give up the physical keyboard + toolbelt + touchscreen combo to go back to the Z30.
Don't get me wrong, the Z30 is an amazing phone, but the versatility of the UI on this Bold is unmatched. It's making me want to hold out for the "Classic".
