This is truly a leap of faith for me, a loyal 9780 user. I would probably stay perched on a fence for much longer, but my trusty work horse is SO tired: shutting off at the 50% charge level even on a brand new battery.

I tried Q10 for a few days, and it IS a very nice phone, but I feel that if I am finally forced into a touch screen terrain, I might as well go all the way.

Deep thank you to all who shared their experiences!

Which "must-have" accessories should I get right away to have a proper greeting party for the arriving royalty?

Congratulations! I bet you will love it. I'm still addicted to my Z30. If you're on Verizon, I recommend a Tylt wireless charger. I had one from when I had the Droid Maxx and it is just as effective on my Verizon Z30. Enjoy!

Welcome, I am sure you will love it.

After using it for a month, go back and pick up your old phone. And enjoy the ensuing laughter.

I am on TMO. A better plan (family), but no wireless charging for me. Oh well, can't have it all.

My first and only purchase so far was to get an otterbox commuter case from crackberry. Highly recommend it, and it comes with a screen protector to boot!

I wear a business suit all week and missed the vibrate often in my pocket. I bought OEM BlackBerry Leather Holster. I like it a lot. Can see the led light, never miss a vibrate notification. Very thin. Barely any bulk from the hip.

Order online and select month to month. That's how I did it. Took 10 minutes. Free 2-3 day shipping or 12-15 bucks for overnight depending if you want it by 10:30am or 3pm est.

I tried to order it online but when I went to check out there was a monthly charge of $9.99 showing up on the receipt. I declined the insurance so I'm not sure why this happened. Maybe it is because I have unlimited data and the big Red wants to wean me off of it!

    Congrats!

FWIW, I left my beloved 9000 for a 9700,...then to a 9800,...to 9810 and now to Z10. All of my previous BBs were awesome devices imho, but none can hold a candle to my Z10,...w/OS 10.2.1.1925,...4500mah btry, some sweet BB10 apps, along with Snap and so.e choice Android apps. The only thing that can top this for me would be a bona-fide AT&T Z30!

Ok, the wait will soon be over for me. Verizon answered their phone in under 15 minutes this evening so I was able to place an order.

The customer service rep asked me if I wanted a sim card with the order. That's odd. Why would they ask that?

Can't wait to get the phone in my hands next week!

Congrats, you're gonna love it! They asked about the SIM because it's free and you need the 4GLTE SIM to run the Z30. Thus SIM from your legacy won't work. However, when you had the Q10 for a few days if you returned it, they may have given you the SIM to keep so that could be used to activate the Z30. Essentially, they just offered cause its free, could be needed depending on if you still had one from the Q10. Mine came without one but I had 2 Q10's at the time. One work, one personal. I just swapped one from my personal phone.

Thanks, I guess she probably asked me because I'm switching from the Z10 so I do already have a compatible sim card. Oh well. I just hope my plan remains unchanged by doing this. I see you are in Philly, I hope the Sioux make it to the Frozen Four!! #goSioux

The SIM card is necessary for 4G to work. Don't forget to take advantage of Verizon's "Trade In & Trade Up" promotion. Supposedly they will send you a text 3-5 days after activation and the minimum trade-in for ANY working (screen cannot be broken) smartphone (even non-Verizon) is $100! I'm trading in my spotless and still operating Storm 2. Normal trade in value: $5; through this promotion: $100!

FedEx says my new Z30 is on the truck today and to be delivered today. I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve.
