Pretty sure if the masses had a choice between the Z30 and Z10, the masses would choose the Z30 just for superior daily battery life alone

I have a Z10 and I really, really want a Z30. Here's why. Far superior battery life with approximately twice the life per charge. Stereo speakers for better media playback. Larger screen again for media consumption. FM radio built in. As for me I would benefit from XLTE support on Verizon. Better natural sound than Z10. Slightly faster processor. The Z30 and the Z10 are both really attractive devices in my opinion. And I think that's about it but there is probably more that I cannot think of arm. I say if you can afford it get the Z30.

I used my Z10 for a full year and overall really liked the experience, however although I don't have a Z30, I use a Q5 as my daily driver, I really just needed a device with enough battery power to get me through a full day !!! Z30 sounds like the way to go...

So.. I've had a Z10 for about a year now and really happy with it, but considering upgrading to the Z30. But I'm with ATT so that's kind of a stumbling block, I guess I would just get the -5 edition from either Blackberry shop or an amazon outlet for $400-500. Anyway, from what I've read here, it seems really the main thing is the battery life. I seriously have very little problems with apps on my Z10, pretty much get everything I want, though not 100% with minor quirks from some droid apps (it's totally acceptable for my needs). It's interesting, the two most important apps I like to use Spotify and Score, both I needed to get from android, as there is no native spotify, and the native Score app for some strange reason is crappy. You read about the pros of the bigger screen, but that's really relative, you get a bigger screen but it doesn't fit in your hand nicely and is nimble as the Z10. I can take out of my pocket and hold it one hand and check things fast (big deal).

Having said that, I would def try out the Z30 if it wasn't such an obstacle course finding one that fits my American carrier. They got all these phones on display but the only one I want to check out is not there! Lame. These are such quality phones, it's so weird how they have been phased out over the droids and iPhones. Blackberry just wouldn't let go of the qwerty physical keyboards until it was too late (but not late enough for us who tried the phones and know what's up). They were in a bind, they had a super successful niche product (keyboard) but new technology was coming in. They didn't handle it and adopt as best as they could have. The Z10 should have been launched some years earlier. They also dropped the ball on BBM and putting it out there before WhatsApp or similar cross-platform applications (one non profitable app apparently worth some 4 times the value of BlackBerry). So here we are.

I'm going to try the extra battery pack first and see how that works. All I want now for BB is to upgrade the OS and the phone WITHOUT CHANGING THE NAME. Just keep it Z10 and upgrade the phone every 1-2 years or so like every other successful phone. It's a great phone, just keep it coming and I'll be buying. Don't f*ck it up BlackBerry. And no I don't want a BlackBerry Brick in my hand.. umm Passport.

Z30 over Z10 every time. I made that switch and haven't looked back - now I have a Q10 and a Z30, to put it in perspective.

Logic says Z30. But I'm struck by the beauty of my wife's LE Z10. It's unique. But the battery is sucky.

A great many apps are not available for the Z30. Most EA Games, including Tetris. NFL mobile is another one. Even here on CB - take a look at the Free Wallpaper Forum. Not even a Z30 section.

Hated the Z10. Love the Z30. battery life should not be overlooked. Nor should the ridiculous hassle of carrying two batteries around in 2014. The Z30 will guarantee to last you through the day. I don't notice the dpi difference at all. The Z10 screen is too bright and cheap looking while the Z30's Super AMOLED is excellent and easy on the eyes.

If you're able to somehow try using both devices (ie: in a store or otherwise) I'm certain you'll come to the conclusion that the Z30 is the superior device. Please search the CB forums.

I have a Z10. After playing with the Z30 for less than 1 minute I liked it better. Same OS, different phones.

Update : the z30 which I got is shipped by USPS. I tracked the number and they expected it would be delivered on Monday, Aug 10. But the processing bar showed it is still on transit.
I don't know what is going on. I call them and they said it departed Columbia, SC 29021 on Friday (08/08/14) with Priority 2 days shipping. Look like 4 days now and still not be here.
And the eBay state that the Delivery Day should be Wed, Aug 13.
So what I need to do??

It depends on what time UPS shipped it on Friday. If it were late Friday night I don't believe that counts as part of a business day (normally 9am-5pm). Depending on delays for whatever reason, I'd think you should have it by Wednesday. Just my opinion

No question, the Z30's a better phone. HOWEVER, the LE is a better conversation piece.

I was lucky enough to be awarded one, and I was smart enough to pass it along to my very gregarious wife. She gets asked all the time where she got her cool shiny red iPhone.

The z30 is exactly STA100-5, brand new. Even the plastic covers at front and back are still on the phone.
I did switched the AT&T nano sim to micro sim. No LTE but the 4G is fast enough to do everything.
The screen very nice. But there is one thing I don't understand is it is a little bit purple

I mean not the screen. You can see the bar SCREEN TIMEOUT and HDMI DISPLAY, they look like purple on the black based screen. Anyone have same problem?

It may be a bit of an artifact of the AMOLED screen, which does have a bit of a purple-ish tinge to it. There's a chance that may fade with use.
