    Hi,
Just recently bought the Z30 from Shopblackberry, great phone, but one thing I have noticed is the 4GLTE isn't picked up as well as on my Z10.
When I'm in town it will pick up the signal , but whenever I'm back home in the country all I have for signal is H with full bars.

Now my Z10 would have 4GLTE sitting at my kitchen table, and my wife's Z10 does as I write this.
Any body have a guess as to why that is?
Running the latest OS from BlackBerry 10.2.1.3062 and its a model STA 100-5

You may want to try a 10.3.1 leak to see if you radio can be improved. I'm sure that will help you out as it has myself and many, many others here.

Not comfortable in loading leak, so I will wait until it comes out officially. Thanks for the tip anyway.

What model Z10 do you and your wife have?
With that we can compare the supported radio bands for each device to narrow down the issue.

it seems to be suitable for the Bell network according to the information you provided.

Its not that it wont pick up the LTE 4G signal, it just doesn't seem to pick it up here in the country as the Z10's do. When I am in town I have 4G LTE on my Z30

If Bell CA in your area has LTE on frequencies 700mhz or 1900mhz, then the Z30 wont pick it up while the Z10 will.

Edit: To add, in rural areas cell towers are generally set to the lower frequencies, due to those frequencies can travel further and allow for a larger distance in spacing between cell towers (less towers = cheaper operating cost). I would suspect that in your case, they are 700mhz towers.
The only way to tell exactly what band/frequency your device is currently using, for BB10 devices, is via the engineering screen and use of a calculator, see:

The OP gets LTE in city, but not country, on the Z30, while the Z10 will get it in both locations.
Between the model Z30 and Z10 they have, there are two frequency bands that the Z30 does not share with the Z10.
So, if the location coverage happens to be in those two bands, the Z10 will get LTE and the Z30 wont.

Ok , well that is likely what is going on. Not a real big deal, but I thought it was weird that I could get LTE on my Z10 but not on Z30.
    Thanks for your help!

samvel2001 - I have a Z30 on AT&T and I never seem to see the LTE. I've gone to the store and they couldn't give me any answers. I assume you asked because you have some info regarding this?
