    hey everyone,
I have 2 Z30 devices (1 Black and 1 white). Both are setup up to factory default display setting (brightness and white balance, etc..).

For some reason, the white Z30 seems to have a brighter screen to it. The Black/Grey Z30 has a bit of a yellow tinge to it.

the only difference is the White Z30 has 10.3.1 and Black/Grey Z30 has 10.3.2. Would that make that much of a different?

    Thanks

Check the colour temperature settings. Go to Settings, Display and tap on Display Colour Settings on both. Are the sliders set the same? If so, not sure what else might affect it.

Thanks. They're both set to default factory setting. Haven't touched that setting on either phone.

Unfortunately no two displays are alike -- use the color temperature settings under Settings > Display to adjust the screen to your preference.

I wonder if the edge color (white or black) affects your perception of the color. The color around a certain color can affect how we perceive it.

I am not sure if that's the case honestly. I even put devices side by side in a dark room with the lights off and you can definitely see the difference.

In that case then it is the screen. I guess not all screens come out the same.

My Z30 does have a yellowish tint that I don't like. I get used to it until I compare it to my Z10. I do wish the Z30 AMOLED screen were more like an LCD screen with whiter whites. The dark colors are nice, but not the whites.
