I tried to initialize and format this card in my Z30 but it will not work - I tried it 3 times and gave up. It does work in my Z10. My old 4 GB card works in my Z30 after formatting. Must be some kind of incompatibility. Anyone use a media card of about 16 GB in their Z30? If so what kind.

Do you mean 16gb. Yes I use SanDisk 16gb.

Fixed the post. Anyway, I cannot for the life of me get it to work. I may try to format in my Z10 and see if I can pass it over.

I've used an 8gig Nexxtech and now using a 16gig SanDisk in my Z30 no prob. Maybe your disk is faulty? Would try again in the PC with the Adapter case. Normally you shouldn't have to format when you get them too as you can used them right out of the package.

Once the card is inserted you may have to format it. This is what I had to do with my 32 GB SanDisk.

I may have a bad card. It will not work no matter how I format it. Used my PC instead of my Mac, formatted it out of the phone, reinserted it. As soon as I connect to a PC or Mac with the media card inserted and try to add files to the card it won't do so, then it becomes unreadable inside the phone. Something is happening after it is inserted. My 4GB card works fine on a PC and Mac. I will try another. Hopefully it is not the phone, but for some reason, my old card is fine.

It was a bad card. Now use a Lexar 16GB hi-speed mobile card. Works fine.
