We can only hope. We can't get Z30's in the US anymore on VZW.....
the z30 is almost a year old. that is why its $0. The Z3 lte is a downgrade anyway
It may be a downgrade, but if someone is looking at a 5" phone from BlackBerry, the choice between a $500 phone or a $200-250 phone ( off contract ), might reduce the sell through of the Z30s, which might be problematic if there is excess stock.
Personally, I would go for the Z30, but if my phone broke mid-contract, I would downgrade to the Z3.

Funny thing about everyone talking bout the Z3 LTE. Most people here recommend using 3G only to save battery. So LTE means nothing really. The rest of the Z3 specs are crap compared to the rest of the North American Market

Probably making room for the Passport.

I also feel it is just to move unsold inventory.
While I see the appeal for the z3 because of the cost, North America has gone to Android and Apple.
I was surprised that the z3 didn't actually come to Canada, it might be the first real BlackBerry that hasn't. Having said that I was surprised, it's a business choice and it makes sense. If the q5's and z10's are not moving at 150 why would z3 at 250.
Heck, future shop had q5 for 125 all last week, if I didn't have two, I might have bought another.
