So if Indo got Jakarta editions surely they won't release Z3 in other countries as Jakarta. Will it be the Mumbai? Kinda cooler than Jakarta imo.
Manila doesn't cut it so I'm leaning towards Quezon. The original capital of the philippines. Probably. Won't even stamp other countries versions but would be cool and innovative imo.

Great idea! But if they're going to put a stamp for the Philippine release of the Z3, I want it to be "Philippines" or "Pilipinas" (which is the Filipino/Tagalog translation of Philippines) rather than the name of a particular city. There are BlackBerry users from all over, not just in the capital city.

Great idea, although I doubt it would happen. You see, BlackBerry made the Z3 dedicated to Indonesia (Jakarta) because it's where BlackBerry still has a huge market share. Here however, Philippines is dominated by Android and iOS devices.

BlackBerry isn't going to pull out of the Philippines but I don't think they have a market share here so much for a "Quezon" or "Manila" stamp. The Z3 might be released here without the stamp. If the price is really within reach, people will buy it, regardless whether it has a stamp or hasn't.

Aside from being the capital of Indonesia, the "Jakarta" is actually the codename for the Z3 (just like Ontario for the rumored-upcoming Blackberry). The Jakarta-stamped Z3 only limited to the first 25.000 units released on the pre-order.

Stamped or not.. the Blackberry Z3 sells really well in Indonesia. Shops are selling out and the price even hiked to approximately USD 256 (from the retail price $190) due to the scarcity of the available unit.

The stamp is more of a gimmick IMO, but nevertheless it's kinda cool to have your city's name stamped on the back of your phone and it can be used as a marketing tool.
