My phone app (the calling app) keeps on eating more and more memory (RAM) with every subsequent phone call. It never frees any memory at all. I was using a leaked version of 10.3.1 earlier which also had the same issue. I thought it would go away with the official release but I don't think BlackBerry has taken care of it yet. Could this be due to a possible memory leak issue?

This is very annoying as after 3-4 days of usage, I have to reboot the phone to free the memory held by phone app.

I'm using a Z3 in India running the official 10.3.1 OS version. Attaching a screenshot of phone app memory graph that I captured last week.

Dude, I'm facing the same problem, not only phone app, even BlackBerry Hub is also consuming more ram, as a result the device lags a lot.. some say,we should do the security wipe and reload the OS using BlackBerry link.. I did it but no use, actually adding the Gmail account in 10.3.1 makes condition even worse.. you are rebooting your device twice a week.. but in my case it's worse, I'm doing a hard reset day by day.. let's see if anyone give the solution..

Did a security wipe but it didn't solve the problem. I'm hoping for a fix from BlackBerry on this soon.

    Dears,
i guess i found the problem i have a Z3 and my phone app used to hog memory too until it reaches like 200mb and i had to restart the phone.
the solution is easy if you are using your email to sync your contacts then TURN IT OFF, move your contacts to the phone memory and everything will be just fine. now my phone is running for 2 days and the phone app is consuming around 50-60 mb which is acceptable i think.
try it and tell me if it solved your problem

What do you mean by moving contacts to phone memory?

Yes it increases but my phone has got around 430 mb of ram all the time, try restarting your hub by swiping five times from the top right corner, u should do that every other day to clear any memory leaks

Restarting hub has got nothing to do with cleaning the memory held by phone app. Also, hub cleans itself automatically once in a day.

Rebooting is the only option until BlackBerry fixes this issue.

See my current phone app memory usage. It's going crazy.
