"For Today's India"
BlackBerry's really trying to make ties with local consumers like "Be Part of We" in Indonesia, huh?
I guess their advertising people are really doing their best to appeal to people's emotions.
Sent from my BlackBerry smartphone.
That is great. Where did you see this?
Calcutta Times.
Finally?!!!

In Ahmedabad Times too.
Yup.

INR 1000 rebate, cool. Brings the preorder price to 14990 = ~$250. Still I hope it comes down further after a month or two.
People are spoiled by BlackBerry lowering prices because of mistakes made by the previous leadership group.
It did not happen when BlackBerry was doing well (understandably) and does not happen for the iPhones.
With the new c suit in place and foxcon the probability of overproduction is low and therefore I am pretty sure you will not see a fire sale like that of the Z10 we have seen. Going from 44K RS down to 16 or whatever.
They are working to make it an aspirational brand again. And if that means lower volumes so be it. The reason I say this is because they are lowering their cost structure such that they will be profitable with 10million devices.
So for those looking for sale at a loss or essentially no profit - ain't likely to happen.
And personally I prefer this approach.

But hey its our blackberry..
Just pre ordered one at flipkart
Yippee
Anyone worried about Android 1? This is a very smart play from Google but does anyone see how BB can compete? First Motorola E and G and now this.
"Since the company is targeting the developing world, Google is initially teaming up with Indian smartphone makers like Karbonn and Spice. In an example presented on stage, Sundar Pichai talked about a Micromax Android One device with dual-SIM and SD card slots, a 4.5-inch display and FM radio priced at just $100. As well as that, these phones will get the same preferential treatment as the Nexus and Google Play ranges when it comes to automatic software updates. Is this, then, the much-rumored Android Silver program? Possibly, but given that it's going to be aimed toward the bottom end of the Android world, it seems like the notion that Silver would kill off the Nexus line won't come true today."

The same ad for Times of India in Kolkata as well, same location.
Ditto for Bombay too. Plus a write up in the column for best phones under Rs. 20 K.
BlackBerry z3 back to top end device below 20000.
Keep working hard ;)

Himanshu's Z30
I am now leaning towards Z3 even though it's not Qwerty.
Z3 is the perfect gate opener into OS 10. It makes Z10 look cramped for space. The 5" design now looks ideal for smartphones like the 10" design for tablets.
Good to see consistent marketing for the device!

That's a good thing. I'm quite sure the advertising will reach many people that may browse the papers.

Just heard an advertisement in 'Radio City" describing long battery life of a Z3. Pretty funny one, I must say.
