OS10 is not Android. But it doesn't mean that they do not have similarities on having apps draining battery power when running in the background. However, the biggest issues with battery drainage and heating up, falls on the connection channels triggered on by default after the OS update.
OS10 have the ability in controlling WIFI and Bluetooth connection when not active.

Check your GPS connection especially. Which the new OS will trigger it on without user's knowledge.
