I'm having a z30. My friend wants to buy a BlackBerry. According to his budget right now he can buy just a z3 if BlackBerry.

Browsing through this forum i get that there are many z3 problems.
He is not a app fan so no problem with that, i've read of heating problems, lags , memory problems, update problems and what not.

So is any one of u happy with z3? Is it ok to buy one or should he go with moto g2?

Edit: i've heard that internal memory after update that user can use remains just 4gb. So now if this is true and if the apps take more than that do we have option to move them to sd card?

It's a decent device for the money. The 1.5gb of ram is the biggest problem, but it's OK if you don't install many Android apps (they tend to run a lot of services in the background that you can't stop). Try to keep it lean and mean.

    When? Says who?

All devices go EOL eventually, obviously.

I don't think its the right choice. Wait for the leap to decline it's price or buy a motox , lumia 640xl, one plus one, zenphone 2. Take anyone depends on your choice.

You can get a Z10 in open market for as little as $ 175 and it's a capable device. Z3 and leap are incremental costly. But Z3 is a very capable device if your friend is not looking for speed breaking processor and can keep just few android apps. Have realistic expectations from a Z3 it will not let you down.

Leap/Z30 are better, except if they're prohibitively expensive.

Z3 is best at its price and faster than the Z10 and close to the leap.

Get a Z30 for 21k from infibeam.com. This device is just awesome. I've used Z3 for about 10 months and now recently upgraded to Z30 and I'm loving it.

You are talking of z3 which was released 1 year back..in india.. I think other devices which was released at that time are now obsolete . .

BlackBerry z3 is a good device...if your communication is first priority + you want to keep some android apps + you have much money, go for leap or BlackBerry z30

But if you want a mid range BlackBerry the only option is BlackBerry z3..

the Zed 3 is a great phone. Very solid and well built. Runs BB10.x very smoothly and only fractioally, I mean FRACTIONALLY, slower than the Z30.

On the downside, its a bit heavy and the screen, while nice and bright, isnt quite up to the Z10/30 level. But unless you have one right next to it to compare the screen in day-to-day use is fine.

BlackBerry made this device for undertaking all the day to day tasks easily, and smoothly. I don't experience any issues at all, after upgrading from 10.2.1 to 10.3.1. It's an excellent and beauty of a device.. I have been using this awesome phone for 8 months, and haven't faced any major issue.
For your first device, I would definitely recommend BlackBerry z3. Will be upgrading to PP soon for my other blackberry.

    Thanks
