I've been thinking about getting the q5 for a while now and was seriously digging the battery life of the q5 but then z3 was launched with better battery Life on paper than the q5. buying is solely based on battery life and screen crispness, which do you think I shld go for considering av never handled a z3 and I love the vibrant colors on the q5. How well does the z3 measure up in color rendition and battery life?

The screen quality is noticeably better on the q5. I don't know if LTE is a factor for you but z3 dosent have that. Need to know more about what your usage pattern is like before able to make a recommendation.

I'm heavy on social media, surfing and messenger till my battery runs down. rarely take pics or watch movies or download heavy items.no LTE where I'm at too.

2X batt life is not statistically possible but I see where you're going, I think I'm bending towards z3

I think you'll appreciate the screen estate of the Z3 more, I'm quite annoyed by my small Q5 screen now after 8 months. I don't watch movies either, but even browsing can be tedious sometimes on 2.5 inches.

2X batt life is not statistically possible but I see where you're going, I think I'm bending towards z3

It's possible it's a known fact q5 has a 1400mah battery and z3 has a 2800 it's double the size.

Q5 battery is 2180mah and z3 is 2500mah

2180mah plus smaller screen=better battery life than the Z3.

If you do a lot of browsing then z3 would be better. If it's mostly chatting and face booking the q5 would be better

guess i was wrong always thought q5 had a much smaller battery.

I was in the position deciding between the Q5 and Z3. Q5 for the qwerty and 4G but Z3 has a larger screen and cost nothing with a contract on my carrier. I went Z3.

It might depend on what you're used to. I got a Q5. Was so ready to type on physical keyboard. But have been using Z10/Z30 for so long now that it's a real struggle for me to get used to the tiny screen.

I used to be used to it with my old Curve. But the Torch was bigger. Then the Z's.

But if you're used to a small screen and physical keyboard the Q5 is great. If you hate typing on glass it's great. I hate typing on glass. But here I am still typing on glass. Because what I really need to be happy is a Z3 sized device that is a slider.

I want it all. The big screen. And the keyboard.

Sold my z3, screen is bad. Low resolution. Hope they made it 720p or similar display with that of the z10. I dont mind paying extra for a good screen display. Other than that, it could have been a good phone.

I'm using an iphone 5s and LG G3. The Z3 should have been my third/back up phone. The white looks yellowish. Screen is soo pixelated. Ive had two buyers whom i met and backed out when they conpared it with their note 3. I know its not HD but i relied on the youtube reviews sayinf the screen is great. Its not great. Its bad. China phones have better displays. I loved the form factor thou and how premium it felt in the hand. But the display was indeed a deal breaker. Ill just wait for the passport.

The screen is not ment to compare against flagship devices it's an entry level device the comparison made makes no sense. Only way to compare the z3 is against low level devices like the Nokia 520 and moto g.
