I have the chance to acquire a second hand z10. Does the z10 battery last at least for a day? I had a Q5 and I'd get a usage of around 1 and half day...with the same usage, would the z10 last a full day?

The Z10 battery is not the best. I definitely had issues with it. You might be able to squeeze out a day depending on usage, or you might be running for the plug as your business day is ending. Do NOT forget to charge overnight, it certainly doesn't last at ALL in to the next day! That being said it IS a decent phone if you like BB10, and the size.

It's a great cheap phone if you like BB10 now. I had no problems with battery. 14-16 hours with light use and a good 8 hours with heavy use. My Z10 is over 3 years old now and it works just as good now as the day I bought it. I bought the charger bundle as well but have never used it.

Like Mr. Dollar (he also goes by Johnny) I have bought the extra battery pack but have never used it.

I own both the Q5 and the Z10 and the Q5 battery definitely lasts longer. If you are getting 1.5 days out of the Q, you might barely get a day out of the Z. If you absolutely need that full day, buy the battery pack.

My Z10 is almost 3 years old and still works like new. Very reliable phone.

If it's very cheap, why not? Although if you would ask me, I would prefer a Z30 over the Z10.

Don't judge a phone by its battery ; ) The Z10 is a dreamphone, rather than carrying an extra battery just have a small charge stick in case you need it, but if you need to turn it off to swap batteries youve doubled your charged time already. Z30 has a beast of a battery, only slightly bigger to carry, but that size difference can be noticeable.

Z10 would be to take with me to the beach in the summer as I'd rather not have sand on my Passport.

Will check z30 prices on second hand dfices although I prefer the size and look of the Z10

It would be a great knock around phone.

Yeah, unless you really need the size of the Z10, spend a bit more and get a Leap or the Z30.

I have had my Z10 from day one, I loved it, but I just picked up a classic 2 months ago because of the battery life, I have to charge up multiple times a day. I would not waste money buying this phone because you have to buy an extra battery, portable chargers, it's just not worth it for a $50 phone that's 3 years old

I ditched my z10 and bought a leap two months ago.

The battery on my Leap is 10 times better than on my older z10. I am very glad I switched to the leap. For probably only 100 euros more you could get a more recent phone with a better battery and camera and one that is larger and feels nicer in the hand.

My Leap just got here, I love the form factor too. Too soon for me to make a judgment, but it does seem that the Z10 is the higher quality value with response time and speaker quality. Prices are all over the map, my Leap was $175 + free shipping with a discount (straight from BlackBerry). It looks real fine in white, similar but not EXACTLY the same form mold as the Z3, hard to tell them apart.

I agree it might be a better buy than the Z10 for battery life, but its not quite as smooth. These phones are way underpriced, no reason not to enjoy and have more than one for the possible time when we cant get them anymore.

The battery is great when you don't use your phone and have great reception. Most of my building at work have ****ty reception and my battery will drop from 80% to 15% in no time.

Go for it! It's a great phone, and with a spare battery, you'll never run out of juice. Virtual keyboard is the best I've ever used, and there was nothing about the phone I didn't like or that didn't work well. I upgraded to a Passport SE, but won't even sell my Z10. Keeping it for backup.
