    Found my Z10 lying around and figured I should power it up. I remember it being on an old SW release, 10.1.0.4167 so I figured, it's probably best I update it. I tried multiple times through Software Update in the Settings menu and it keeps prompting, "Unable to connect to the update server. Please check your network connection settings or try again later.". For sure I have internet connection and I have my data SIM in there as well. I also can surf on the browser too. What could be wrong?

    Don't know, but if your Z10 is on a OS 10.1 or 10.2 build, then a clean install to 10.3.3 with an autoloader is highly recommended.

    ....unless it's a Z10 STL100-1, which won't take 10.3.3 yet (if ever). In that case, do clean install 10.3.2.2813 with autoloader.

    Try using BlackBerry Link to check for updates. If there is an update that way, it will likely fix the error you're seeing.

    It's an STL100-3. I suppose I'll go with this method as last resort as I want to preserve some of the apps that are on it.

    Try using BlackBerry Link to check for updates. If there is an update that way, it will likely fix the error you're seeing.
    Tried this. Unfortunately Link doesn't even acknowledge it's being plugged in.

    Try hard rebooting your device.
    How? As in battery pull?

    Nope.
    Hold down the power button and volume keys till the screen goes and comes up with the blackberry logo.

    Press and hold up and down volume keys simultaneously until you see the BlackBerry "squircle."

    Well well. It finally connected to BB Link! This is my 3rd PC with BB Link (just installed it) and it actually recognized it! Right away I started to do the software update. Not taking any chances that it won't recognize it later and won't do the update. *crossing fingers*

    Weird? Yes, but you jumped from 10.1 to 10.3.2, which is why I recommended doing a clean install with an autoloader.

    Hopefully, everything works okay.
