    Hi,

I've side loaded kik on my Z10 and it's been working fine until 2 days ago I can't seem to turn it off from running in the background. I use Task Manager, also android app to end background running apps. Skype seems to turn off fine but kik always comes back on the list as many times as I open Task Manager.
A restart fixes this, but then again when I start kik once, this whole thing starts acting again.
Any idea how to fix this other than restarting or removing kik?

    Z10, STL100-1, 10.1.0.4181

Seen this happening across all OS versions, I simply stopped using it as I couldn't get it to stop running in the background

I had this problem on earlier builds of OS10. I haven't seen this issue on 10.2.1.1925.

    Note: I'm using a T-Mobile branded STL100-3.

    Hi Mohammed !
Is this behavior limited to this specific app ?

    Side note :
I see you're still under the 10.1 OS; isn't the update to 10.2.1 available in Dubai yet ?
Warning : I also see that you sideloaded android apps, be aware that if ever you made a former install of the unlocked runtime, you'll have sideload the stock runtime after the update to bring your android apps back to life (suggested reading : http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...ml#post9917699).
    Cheers,

Well I'm not in Dubai at the moment. I'm in Bangladesh and from the looks of things here, I don't think they're gonna release the latest update anytime soon. They didn't even release 10.2... so that explains I guess.

And yes, this behavior is specific to kik only... though it stops running in the background sometimes and sometimes not. It's not a big deal, it just bothers me to see it running using resources while I'm not even using it.

Ok, thanks for clearing things out
alas, it seems app related and you cannot do much to prevent it.
Maybe 10.2.1 will give you more control over it ?
Anyways, AFAIK, the 10.2.1.1925 leak is identical to the official release ... and you can grab your autoloader here : http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...nd+10.2.1.1925

    No problem dude!

I do agree with your suggestion to load the leak. I'll definitely do so, but I'm willing to be a little more patient and see if there's any way to get the official release.
