    I have been trying to wipe my sisters z10 for almost 5 hours now. She had been having a lot of issues with her bb so I was going to drop 10.2 on it via sachesi however her other data was 12 gb and I got an error saying there was not enough room to load the os. So the solution was to wipe and start from scratch which it took me weeks to get her convinced to even wipe. Now we are almost 5 hours into the wipe and the shredder thing is still on the screen. After 3 hours I did a battery pull hoping to brick it so I could go that route but NO, the shredder is on the screen once again. Please help!

    That happened to my Q10 before. I fixed it by taking out the battery, connecting the phone to the BlackBerry Link, put the battery back into the phone and link asked me if I wanted to go back to the factory setting.

    just tried that and the phone will connect then disconnect then nothing...

    ok so after unplugging and replugging in the phone it then connected then disconnected from link back to back several times. I popped the battery back in and then link kept it recognized and offered to reload os. After this I should be able to drop 10.2 on it

    Your battery had likely died, next time, or for future people, just keep the phone plugged into the charging adapter for 2-3 hours so the battery can charge, then restore via bblink
