I plan to upgrade my wife and son to a Blackberry Z10. They have a Torch and old Curve; both with connectivity through BIS. I have a 9930, also BIS, which I am staying on for now. I have a few questions and haven't found anyone in Verizon Customer Service or our local store that knows anything about Blackberry.

    * Does the Z10 through Verizon still connect through BIS for mail, internet, etc.?
    * Or is ActiveSync used instead to sync mail, contacts, and calendar now?
    * Do you have a choice between BIS and ActiveSync?
    * We have Microsoft Live accounts for email; can my wife and son share calendars with each other and see those on their phones?
    * We have vzw.blackberry.net email accounts which we have used for calendar appointments in the past; will we still have that when we upgrade? I am thinking they will still need to send me invites to add to my calendar.
    * For those with Playbooks and the Z10, what's been your experience (asside from loosing Bridge Apps)?

    Thanks!

    To simplify the answers:

BIS and the @blackberry.net email are gone.

Mail through Active sync or IMAP and you'll have to change the email address you use

Not sure about MS Live shared calendar. I'd switch to BBM shared calendar (set up a "family" group).
