Hello peeps,
I am planning to upgrade to that above mentioned model. I heard a customer saying that model doesn't supports 4G.

As i am living in a country where 3G still yet to grow. I am not worried about 4G as of now. Please tell me what measures I should take in this case.

I am worried, if 3G works or not on this unlocked phone in India and Philippines.

It's is 4g LTE here in the states. And does support 3g. In India? Not sure, but I would assume it has to.

I contacted the seller and reply was

"This device is international capable and should work with any of the following frequencies. As long as the frequencies are a match in whatever country you are in you will pick up services. Thanks.

LTE 750
WCDMA 900 / 2100
CDMA 850 / 1900
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900"

Can I assume that 3G works??

As a Verizon phone its a CDMA phone with an unlocked GSM "side" that is supposed to be fine for GSM networks outside the USA. If I were you I'd go on the Verizon thread and ask how their phones work overseas.

Yes, my brother had used an unlock version of iphone verizon in past. They never faced a problem as it was 2G version. But now, I'm planning to jump to 3G apart paying for EGDE services. So, the frequency thing is killing me.

But the seller and verizon rep assured that 3G will work on it, as this 100-4 verizon version supports UMTS 2100 frequency.

I had seen ur old post from March. So once the CDMA verizon version gets unlocked and made to use over GSM bands, then it must work
thru out the world and it is mentioned by the seller too. Unless if there is a problem in the set or sim card.
I even googled to study about the 3G and that article finally concluded that Wcdma and CDMA are sub groups of this so called UMTS.
I hope all blackberry versions works on every band from lower end to higher end. I hope it works and I will let you all know the outcome once I step on it tomorrow.

I found a guy using unlocked verizon version in india. He's saying, he's able to use 3G data on this with gsm. I will post back in 36hours, as it'll reach into my hands tomorrow.

Verizon sells the Z10 already UNlocked. No need to either purchase an unlock code or take any other steps other than finding a sim card for your preferred carrier. Again, I don't know how that works in India or other similar places.

I will let you know guys about the use of the data network. Also, I will be loading 10.1 or 10.2 immediately if I found it with 10.0.

I got the device and tried to install leaked 10.2 OS but it made my phone dead with red light blink. I removed sim-card and SD card and made a clean OS install thru blackberry link "reload" and it updated and working good. It's time to test 3G on it. So see you guys... Thanks alot to one and all mods here. love you BB.. Love my new Z10

It doesn't work on Reliance and it works on every other carrier for 3G and 2G coz it has a bandwidth support of 2100Mhz which is used as a 3G line in India by all carriers(GSM unlocked as I mentioned earlier so supports GSM networks).
