Thanks for the info. I'm looking for a backup to my Q10 and Classic bc I don't have the patience for double typing and I don't believe that the non PKB devices have this issue. I'm sure there is already a pros/cons thread out there on the Z10 that I will try to find before I start a new thread.

Quickly though, I use my BlackBerry for 5 things 98% of the time: calls, emails, texts, hot spot and navigation. Does this phone do these well?

I have all 3, the Q, the Z, and Classic. But my Q10 is my daily driver. They're all capable of doing the same things equally well and no the Z10 is not susceptible to double typing unless I'm the one that does it. However typing on virtual keyboard gets some getting used to. You may find that challenging and find it easier to endure the double-typing, if you have it. I do not. Also, the Z10 is much better for playing game and watching videos. And one more data point for you, I find myself charging my Z10 a lot more than my Q10 or Classic. All have the same apps and I wouldn't say my usage habits change with whatever device I'm using. I'm just saying to factor that in also. For that I have backup battery packs for my Z10. Hope this helps.

To be clear -- the 100-4 IS the Verizon branded Z10. And only a branded version will work on Verizon.

The Verizon z30 is spectacular though. You should consider that instead of z10.

Most of my questions have been answered by reading through CB (thanks for the responses - very helpful) and YouTube, but one thing I can't find: keyboard shortcuts.

When you pull up the keyboard on the home screen, can you program the keys with phone numbers, apps and/or quick compose like you can with the PKB's?

No. Only speed dial numbers for numbers 2-9.
1 is locked to voice mail.
