In the US states, I have been seeing them going for anywhere from &150.00 US dollars to as much as $275.00 US dollars. Most of them on the higher end of the scale. They do not appear too cheap to me. Nothing will ever maintain it's value like an iphone. Never has and never will. When you have a hot, well advertised, highly thought of phone such as that, people can command almost any price for them, and if someone wants one bad enough they will pay.

More money does NOT always mean better though. Better to some but not everyone

They are nearer 130 to 140 pounds used on eBay in the UK which is too close to the 160 PAYG price from Carphone Warehouse ... brand new and with warranty.

I agree this is the best value on the market when buying, but when selling, you'll lose some.

Nothing keeps its value like Apple products. Just look at old bb products, you can't even give those away for free.

I'm holding on to mine as long as I can. But I have to sell either my Z or Q to get an iPhone for work bc they're no longer supporting BBs. So annoyed. I will hate using ios again.

Expansys Hong Kong website dropped the Z10 completely. They are no longer selling it. Not sure if the reason is it was sold out or lack of demand. Most likely the latter.

Well, I think it's a great way for those with spare money to get this as a hobbyist or a backup phone (as absurd as that sounds). BlackBerry is now banking on their main flagship the Z30 now, so it figures. Which means their main source of income isn't coming from the Z10...

This is a great way to make the Z10, in my opinion, the best phone to get at 200 dollars these days.

Just went on ebay.co.uk and the lowest value in the "Buy It Now" category is �118 ($192).

All of the first 10 items "Ending soonest" in the "Auction" category are above �100 ($163).

Z10 had a steep drop in price, but the values provided by the OP are less than half of what really is the current price on the UK market (anyone can easily check it).

Yeah. I think the OP was a little confused. That being said, Iphones always hold their value but BlackBerry phones haven't for many years now. It goes without saying that if you struggle to sell them new because folks think you're going out of business...they aren't likely to sell for a lot used either.

Reseller value only matters if you want to sell your phone. I've never done so and it would never be part of my decision in buying one. However, the price drop in them certainly was!!!

to ME the iphone has ZERO value:

blackberry has a higher build quality

blackberry is running a far superior OS( and newer)

blackberry uses gestures not the archaic home button

blackberry has multitasking

blackberry has a removable battery with great battery life

blackberry has HUB which is absolutely fantastic

blackberry has true security

the list goes on but my daughter just woke up, daddy duty time.

That's the difference between perceived value and actual value. A 2 generations old iPhone 4s new price is double that of a Z10 in the UK right now, and the Z10 is arguably a far better phone.

I know it doesn't help to recuperate the cost for those who want to sale it. So it is a big commitment to buy BlackBerry phones full price when they just came out. I did and I love my Z. I really think BlackBerry needs to price their phones better.
