Ok so to clarify my personal Z10 has the absolute latest from Telus. That being
Os ver 10.1.0.4633. Or Os rel 10.1.0.4181. I just set up another Z10 today and it had a much lower version so it was stating an update is available. I did the update and it updated to 10.1.0.2somethng. It won't acknowledge that there is a higher build. What the heck gives here. ?

You sure you're not confusing OS versions and software versions?

No I'm not. I even tried using link but it's only updating to 10.1.0.2014 also. I've asked telus support on twitter for help. They seem to be at a loss also. So my black z10 that I've had since day 1 is running absolute latest but the white one I just picked up only updated to 10.1.0.2014. This is just not right. Am I missing something?

I don't think the fact that my black Z being on a personal account and my white one being on a corporate account with Telus should make a difference as to what OS version I'm running. I should be able to be on the same for both regardless correct? So what the heck am I missing here?

Telus apparently pulled 10.1.0.4633 from its servers, replacing it with the 10.1.0.2050 that it had before. My guess is that they're working on something that doesn't destroy text messages.

Well telus told me that the latest OS release is 10.1.0.4181 so that doesn't quite compute when clearly there is an issue with the discrepancy.

Carrier software can't force a downgrade, as the update checking step at the end of setup would kill most leaks. Devices with 4633 on them already will remain on 4633, while those on 2050 or lower will get updated to 2050.

Update. Telus corporate technical is providing free replacement phone. Brand new. Seems this one that isn't updating is a direct result of hardware issues as BlackBerry reads it as a PlayBook and not a Z10!!!

Amazing. So not oy was that BlackBerry defective. So are all the others at the location. That's ********. What the hell did BlackBerry do and think when shipping products that clearly have issues. I can understand 1 but everyone that the store has unable to load latest OS that's too much. And these are old units cause they start with 10.0.10.85 and only go upto 10.1.0.2014. And telus tech support has been involved all the way as well as BlackBerry. This is why people lose faith in a product!

Hah it has been confirmed by several sources. This was not a Telus issue but a problem on BlackBerry side. Fixed and phone updated. this information was confirmed not just by Telus Premium Support but by BlackBerry as well via email. Thank goodness. However I am now wondering why the first Z10 which was running 10.1.0.2014 when updated had an update size around 860MB but this Z10 running same OS when updated only had 146MB file. Oh well fired off that email to both BlackBerry and Telus Premium support. But seems so far both have exact same features from what I see.
