    Hi Folks,

After using my home wifi on my Z10 for 3 months, it suddenly will not see the wifi network. My android tablet and my laptop connect fine but my Z10 for some reason won't see the network.

I've tried rebooting, any other ideas? Anyone else face this issue?

And then after all the wifi issues, my songs/videos won't play. Could this be due to an android app causing problems perhaps?

You can try a device reset first. (NOT the same as a restart.)

Hold down your top button for about 30 seconds. Keep pressing it down, ignoring onscreen countdown and restart option, BB splashscreen, and black screen. The red LED will turn on. As soon as LED turns off, release the top key.

Was anything better after that reboot?

    Thanks! Let me try that.

I have to admit, the hilarious title typo was what got my attention first...

But alas, yes I fixed it.

Okay kids, back on topic and help the OP!

Hi Elite1, I did the device reset unfortunately the issue persists. Do you perhaps know what else I could try?

Is there only one Wi-Fi network where you've tried this? You might just need to restart your router. (Even though some other devices are working.)

Unplug your router, then unplug your modem. Turn off Wi-Fi on tour Z10 too. Wait a minute, then plug in your modem. After another minute or two, plug in your router.
After a couple minutes, turn Wi-Fi back on with your Z10 and see if it connects.

Next would be deleting the Wi-Fi network off your Z10 and then trying to add it again.

Same issue. As above router reset did the trick for me.

Tried this, still no luck. I'm worried.

WiFi and media playback issues solved.

    1. I did a security wipe, which took more than 2 hours and ended up bricking my device (BlackBerry error 10). I'm never doing a security wipe again!

    2. Reloaded the OS with BlackBerry Link.

    3. Restored my phone, using BlackBerry Link, from a backup (full restore).

With regards the songs issue, my Z10 has started to report the media library being unreadable regularly,or I simply have no songs in media player when I open it . I found that opening a song via file manager solves the problem

I must say that I've had more problems since 10.2.1 than during all the other versions right back to the original 10.0 days.

I'm having the same issues with the music app. This happens quite often for me whilst music is playing:

    Z10 suddenly can't see Wi-Fi network, songs won't play-music-player-error.png

All the music is on SD. I'm running 10.2.1.3247.
BlackBerry please polish up this OS. The bugs are starting to become very bothersome.

There are so many issues with WIFI on BB10 phones. It has been acknowledged and a fix is supposed to be included in 10.3. Issues I have had (including one by OP): SSID not visible (did router reboot and it came back but only temporarily), WIFI Limited Connectivity (Happens Regularly and if I just forget about it, it magically will connect later on even though I did nothing), Saved WIFI profiles become Disabled on their own, phone has difficulty connecting to 5Ghz Router signals......
It sucks and I hope a fix is coming soon.
