Anybody know if the Z10 I have is going to get the os 10.2? T-Mobile says from BlackBerry that OS 10.2 will not be coming to my Z10 because it is outdated.
First release doesn't have the hardware to install. Is this true? Did I waste my money on this phone and my spare Q10?
This came from T-Mobile and Blackberry on a support call.
Tell me this is not so.

10.2 has already been released by a number of carriers around the world, and there are ways to load up that version on your TMO Z10. Many of us on this site have Z10's on TMO (myself included) that are already running 10.2.

Yeah.... that is ridiculous. All BB10 phones will get access to 10.2 update...eventually, depending where you live.

Whoever told you that mess is a liar!

Like everyone said, 10.2 has been released by various carriers around the globe, but it seems that US carriers are slow to approve and release it.

If you want it now, I would suggest just downloading and installing a leaked OS.

They're covering their own laziness. Just about everywhere except the USA is pushing out 10.2 for all devices, including the Z10.

You Z10 won't support certain features of 10.2 : Miracast, wifi direct, and usb on the go.
Your Q10 supports all the above features.

Better yet, load the 10.2.1.1055 and enjoy so much of the goodness that even 10.2.0xxxx doesn't have. By the way, I have the same variant of Z10 as yours.

Download the 10.2.1 that was just recently leaked. It is on the front page. Lots of us have jumped on it already.

    Major improvements.
