I just got an BB10 software update for my Z10 a few minutes ago. I just updated, but as usual...no info as to what it is.

Does anyone know what this update is for?

(PS. I'm on FIDO, should not really make a difference, but just in case you wanted to know)

I got that yesterday when I bought it. Just some small bug fixes.

It's a totally new phone and OS, be patient because we'll likely have several in the next few weeks. Would you rather they didn't fix bugs?

So glad to hear this. BB10 needs to be as close to flawless as possible when it hits the US. Consumer feedback from the smaller UK and Canada markets should help BlackBerry improve the experience received by US consumers.

no issues with patience, just curious to know what it's for!

The more updates we get, the better i think. This just means BB is on top of things now that the BB10 is out. No more delays in pushing out the OS fixes.

I believe I just saw a Fido App appear and that was the update. But why would it be an OS update??

It doesn't change the version number and it happens as soon as the phone goes online for its 1st time, I am on my 2nd Z10 and they both did it as soon as the phone went live on the mobile network.

I got a 5 MB update also and I'm on Rogers. No, I didn't delete a preinstalled app... so this must be a small bug fix.

Must be a small carrier update. I didn't notice any new apps installed.

Got the update too. I'm on Telus near Toronto. Haven't deleted any apps.

I just got one too! 6mb update, applications update. Note that I'm on virgin mobile, so they don't have any carrier apps.
