Regardless of the OS I have run on the Z10 (I am now running 10.1.0.4543) the smart dialing does not work for me when I set it to WAIT FOR MY RESPONSE.

Any number with an extension on it will be dialed and the phone will wait 3 seconds before dialing the extension, much to the displeasure of the person at the other end of the phone should a receptionist pick up the line.

Enclosed is a picture of my settings.

Any insights appreciated.

I am experiencing the same issue. The "Wait For My Response" option does not seem to work. Default appears to be 3 seconds. The main number for the company I work for is unattended, so I don't have the same issue that Jeffrey mentioned above. The "Pause After Dialing" at 7 seconds is what I use.

Cali_EFJ, thanks for confirming that this is not an isolated issue. Unless there is a setting that is incorrect this is a bug in the OS.

My advice would be to forget smart dialing. Just go to your contacts and after entering the company number, use the wait option on the dial pad, then enter the extension number. You can use more than 1 wait in between numbers, if you need to enter other access numbers. It works great for me, I use it all the time with no problems. Sorry, I had to edit for clarification. My fingers got ahead of my brain!

If this is in fact a bug, it would be good to have this addressed by Blackberry.
