As I have posted here before my Z10 doesn't "see" my SD Card. I have asked at a repair shop and they think it's a software problem. Is there anything I can do, factory reset etc to fix it? If so, how do I do it? Help please!!!

    YES! I'm not alone.

I bet you get the ol' "File type not recognized error" with music also.

The only fix I have found is a soft reboot. Which sucks. Because sometimes this happens when I am about to go for a run.

I think this is a hardware issue because every OS I put on the phone demonstrates this problem and any time I have asked about this problem, no one else has it.

Oh wow, I just thought about one other problem,. The random reboots on my phone are gone. That must have been software related.

    Oh, never visible?

Could be a non compatible SD card. 64 GBs I think had issues at launch.

Try a different card. Smaller if possible.

I think all my issues are SD card related.

Have tried 2, both work on a 9320. One is 1gb, the other 2gb. Both reformatted in both FAT & NTFS, Neither work in Z10

    Try fat32 if you haven't.

Those also sound like older cards and possibly slower reading/writing. I don't know if that might be an issue.

Actually, I had problems beyond the SD card disappearing. Pulling the SD card didn't fix the other problems.

In my experience SD cards become fragmented after a while and you risk loosing everything unless you either:
    1. Copy your data to a computer and format the card in the device before copying your files back onto it. (or)
    2. Put the SD card into an SD card adaptor and defragment it on a computer.
In any case, it's a good idea to have a backup of your files/photos stored separately from your device, as loosing them can be an entirely unpleasant experience.

A bb is not going to read ntfs. In fact my windows tablet uses fat32 for the SD card and not ntfs. If windows doesn't even want to format them as ntfs I'm nit sire why anyone else would.
