    My Z10 screen goes black and deactivates when I try to touch the screen and reactivated when I take my hand away. It only happens when trying to manage a call. I've been researching this behavior and found nothing. Anybody?

    Yeah due to the "Face detector on the Screen" but mine doesn't seem as sensitive as yours because I can still use my screen while on a call

    There is a proximity sensor one the top of the phone by the ear piece, When you are on a call it puts it to sleep when the phone is aginst your ear and wakes up when move it away.

    It does thanks. Problem is that I use my phone almost completely in speaker mode. I guess I'll have to learn how to sneak up on it.

    See, I can use mine on speakerphone and it doesn't turn off. I believe it turns off the proximity sensor. Is yours going black even with speaker turned on?

    The proximity detection shouldn't activate when speakerphone is used, AFAIK
