The vast majority of those who "love" the Z10 are those who have clung tightly to BlackBerry and refuse to hear anything but gleaming words of praise about the device. Any negativity at all toward it is quicky jumped on and pronounced "trolling". Sheesh...how immature can you guys get. I really always thought BlackBerry was a device for those a bit smarter than the average bear...maybe I was mistaken.
Just got back from my local VZW corporate store, and nobody there was terribly suprised when I handed them back the Z10 I had researched greatly, but had taken a chance on yesterday. I'm nowhere near stupid, but although I must admit the Z10 is a great PHONE...the BlackBerry 10 OS is far from intuitive, and the gesture-only navigation method seems foreign. Yes, it's a steep learning curve...and more of one than most smartphone users want to tackle. BlackBerry shouldn't have been so arrogant as to think they would...especially on a device that was moved to market as the savior of a sinking ship.
My store says that they've sold a suprising number of Z10's since launch date...but have had almost half of those sold come back to be swapped for another device. Sad but true.
Let me just add that I am a longtime BlackBerry fan...and I would love nothing more than to see BlackBerry again a strong player in the international smartphone market. But, at least for me...this isn't the device that will bring that desperately needed boost.
