Hi: I had just dropped my Z10 on a table just an inch distance from my hand. As soon as it fallen on the table (appx 3 centimeters), it started rebooting. I tried to simulate by doing again by just putting on a table by dropping on the table with a gap of an inch but still started rebooting despite i had a Casemate cover / guard on the back side. I wanted to validate whether it is only with my phone or any other folks are experiencing similar issue?

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere. You could try the card behind the battery trick and see if that helps. Otherwise it may need a repair.

Thanks for the reply. Are you saying there might be a loose connect of battery and therefore you suggest to put some paper / business card behind battery to firm up the battery in that position?

If you have a cover, the top button may be pressed and you may not realize it. Try without the cover

Loose battery connections are the most common causes of reboots from light drops - on almost any phone with a removaeable battery.

Additionally, if you have two batteries and switch them regularly, that makes the contacts *looser* and you're more likely to experience this issue. It's one of the few downsides of regularly switching between batteries. I had this issue with my Pre 2.

Had the same problem with my z10. Changes the battery and all was fine. The first battery actually died on me suddenly and they do tend to deform when they go bad, so it wasn't so much the connectors being loose, but the battery not fitting properly in the end.
