I have a Z10 and q5. Battery in Q5 is much better than in Z10. But rear of Q5 is more slippy. For me Q5 win.

Q5 is a great device. Get a case to make it less slippery. Regarding WhatsApp - if you really need it, better don't by a BlackBerry 10 device.

I had both, i preferred the Z10. Easy to use with one hand and better display. Also, the removable battery was awesome. I always carried a spare so i never ran out of juice.

I use both on a daily basis.

As mentioned previously, Q5 has better battery but non removable. I do use a thin gel case on my Q5 because it is slippery.

Both great phones that very durable.

If you really need WhatsApp, it may stop working at the end of the year so just be aware of that.

Honestly the Q5 is better. Better quality screen, better battery life, better speaker. A touch sensitive keyboard would make it perfect. Also it's not that hard to replace a Q5 battery. You just need the right screwdriver and a blow dryer or heat gun .

It's all a matter of taste IMO.

    I prefer the Z 10 actually.

Get the Z10. It has a removable battery! So that you can keep it longer after the original battery dies.

The Q5 has stopped in production for a while, so the battery has degraded quite a bit by now.

One thing you have to keep in mind is the q5 is a entry level phone, very basic spec, don't expect it to run apps too fast.

Z10's got a better CPU and a camera, so I would say the Z10 is quite a bit more advanced.

Ok, I'll admit, it's not that simple. While the CPU might be slightly faster on paper I've always been wondering how big real life difference really is. Agreed about the camera as well, WiFi is probably better, HDMI, etc, but the Q5 got FM radio . And a physical keyboard, which I enjoyed very much. ‎

Same amount of RAM for both of them - 2GB.‎

Nonsense. Real world use nullifies this. The only bb10 devices I've used that have serious lag and stuttering are the Z10 and Classic (same specs). Q5 may have a lesser cpu on paper but it still wins.

Q5 if you like looking at dust under digitizer. Z10 if you like to charge phone three times a day.

If it's the Texas Instruments Z10 then just put it in the trash. Model number is STL100-1.

WhatsApp will not be supported after whatever date they gave. And don't hold on to expectations of a Whats10 or something like that. There is zero guarantee for that and the the odds are really really low.

If you're buying for fun then go ahead. But if you're planning to use it as a primary device then I would strongly suggest otherwise.
