Ok, second go, can anybody tell me why my z10 won't find my Sd card? I have tried 2 cards and nothing. Any suggestions? Could it be a hardware fault? Any help would be great!! Thanks in advance

Is it a new phone? If it is, you might want to return it and get another

There's no reason your device should not be able to access your card

I assume you've tried the card in another device, and it worked. (?) I think I would format the card, and take it from there.

Did you reload the software when you got it? This might be a crazy theory, but perhaps some lingering IT policy or setting has switched the ability to read an SD card of.

If you go into settings-> storage and access do you see any SD card options?

Could be the pins in the SD card reader are either damaged or not connecting onto the SD card properly so not seeing it. If the pins are damaged there is nothing much you can do but get it repaired. If the pins are not connecting properly on the SD card when inserted then when you insert the SD card carefully wedge a small amount of paper between the back edge of the SD card and the frame of the Z10. This may cause the pins to connect properly nd see the card by pivoting the SD card onto the pins. Worth a try.

If you have another card, use it. If there is still a problem, try security wiping your Z10. If that still didn't work, your Z10 might be broken.

Give Blackberry Virtual Expert (free and official) a shot. There's a test of sd card in/out of slot.

If there's an issue with sd card formatting/damaged data, you usually get a pop up notification on your screen. I'd try formatting the card to FAT32 in your PC/Mac/Whatever you're running and go from there. How about spare SD cards, can you try another or a friends?

Repair would depend on what is wrong - just the card slot or deeper in the circuitry. You did try another card?

Yes, tried a different card, phone just won't recognise card. But everything else seems to be working, bloody frustrating!
