I moved a group of photos to my sd card using the "Move" function, and some using my PC with a USB cord.
There were a number of folders.
In File Manager the albums have the picture preview grayed out.
When I use the Pictures app they do not appear. The only ones that appear are the single pictures not in an album.

I can view them all in File Manager and only single photos in Pictures.

    April 30th:
Resolved by creating new folders on the sd card in Photos with same names followed by digit 1.
Moved pictures from old folders on sd to new folders on sd.
    Deleted old folders.
Now the Picture app sees the the sd photos.

    Thanks.

Some are fine. I open them and view as normal (slide to next).
Other folders have the picture preview grayed out when opened
I have to tap to open one, then close it and tap to see the next, though they are in the same folder.

    Puzzled in Toronto.

    Thanks.
Have you tried a reboot of the device?

Are you sure you're using the same app? You can not swipe between photos in the "File Manager" app even if they're in the same folder. Supposedly that was done on purpose. You need to tap into it, then slide back, tap into next one, etc...

In the Photos app you can flick through them everywhere.

I've seen the grey thumbnails in the file manager, and the black thumbnails in the Photos app. Pretty annoying. Hope they get it sorted in the next update.

    Ok, that makes sense.
However In File Manager I can view all photos.

Did you move the folders over to the camera folder or the photos folder on your SD card?
