I managed to get a 5-hour "hands on" on Z30... and this is really one of the best mobile produced by BlackBerry... it has surpassed the Z10 in every aspect... except only, in my own personal opinion, the "screen size"...

The Z30 5" screen size is quite good in multimedia and surfing Internet if you are using your mobile that frequent... but for being a mobile phone, Z10 size is the perfect size, I believe... not too big for being portable, calling purposes and one-hand operation... and not too small for reading messages or emails and even surfing Internet for any quick references...

I bet, if Z10 specs will be upgraded better than Z30, that would become the best mobile computing device that BlackBerry will have...

I happen to like the size of the Z10. I'm not a big gamer nor do I watch movies on my phone.
So yeah, I agree with you.

I feel the same. I've had some time on the Z30 to play with it and felt that while it was a great phone and the screen size was nice for browsing, gaming and media it was too big as a phone. The 4.2" of the Z10 has the phone part down perfectly while still being nice for browsing, gaming and media.

I too. I have a GS4 and the size bugs me, not the battery life nor the number of apps but I keep pulling out the Z10 for how good it feels.

I keep thinking 10.2 will make it more usable but then I remember I am running a leak ahead of the one about to be released - pooh!

Personally i find a 4.5" screen to be the sweet spot. my xperia ion is the same size as the z10 but packs a bigger screen, no problem with one handed operation. if anything the z10's screen is a bit small for its size.

You must have very large hands then. For most people the Z10 hits the sweet spot for both one- and two-handed use.

I believe it's all about the user's body size... or more specifically, their hand size. That's why I was puzzled when certain outlets stopped carrying the Z10. I mean, I get it... it didn't sell well because and it doesn't have the latest hardware, but if the Z30 makes someone take a look at BlackBerry, they may see the Z10 and perhaps go with that because it fits their 'normal-sized' hands better.

What actually concerns me most is the relative weight increase of the Z30. I used to have a storm and that thing was heavy... the Z10 seems light compared to that,.. what did you all think of the Z30's weight?

I also think the Z10 is about the perfect size. I'm hoping BlackBerry will give us an updated version of the Z10 in the future. The Z30 is good for people who like larger phones, but for the rest of us an updated Z10 is what I really want from BlackBerry phones.

We all might have to buy the Z30 though in order to support BlackBerry so that they will still be around to make an updated Z10.

I can't speak for others, but for me it's the size of the whole phone itself that is the perfect size. If BlackBerry can increase the screen a little bit without increasing the overall phone size, then that would be nice. The Z10 does have quite a lot of black space around the screen. If they can't make the screen more edge to edge, then I would still be happy with the current screen size.

I would love to see a 4.5 inch z10 with the same resolution and smaller bezel.

That should keep it close to the same size.

Not really, I'm actually kinda small. ( about 169 cm tall). The z10 could have more screen without invreasing its size.

Oh, misread what you posted. I didn't realise you said without increasing the actual phone size--just remove some bezel.

The first time I had the Z10 in my hands I thought its size was massive! And still think it's a big device so Z30 is not made 4 me, too big. The only thing I miss is a large battery on my Z10.
