Have tried twice to install OS 10.2.0.1803 using an autoloader. Both times the OS installed and the Z10 rebooted OK. But ......... after accepting the BB t&c's a message came up 'checking for updates' and I finally finished with OS 10.2.0.429.

Is there any way of stopping the overwriting to an earlier OS. Model is STL 100-2 if this makes any difference.

there is no need you are doing things right 10.2.0.429 is basically 10.2.0.1803

Difference is one is os version and other is software release version

You can see go to setting > about > os and see software release and os version

Thanks to both responders, it's a confusing world we live in! Lovin' the Z10 - upgraded from a Torch 9810. No comparison.
