Hi I wonder if anyone can help?

I'm used to using my PB to connect to my surround amp and it does a fantastic job of sending the correct channels to the amp, the amp decodes it and he presto, 5.1 Surround sound.

So I thought I'd try the same film on my z10 and it doesn't seem to send a multi channel audio signal. It sends the audio no problem but not multi channel. Checking the Dev spec for the phone I believe it shouldn't have a problem with 5.1, yet I can't for the life of me work out how to do it. Any guidance greatly appreciated!!

The video player you use must support multi channel audio playback. Not sure if default video player has this option.

    Try vlc maybe
    Or changing the hdmi resolution

Certain resolutions wouldn't send sound to my TV at all
