Why is it so cheap in America? My sister settled for a samsung s3 mini because it is so much cheaper on contract.

I believe they are lowering the price because you can get the Z10 from TMO for $100 down and no contract.

Yes! This was just what I was waiting for. Slightly off topic, I had to use an upgrade from another line, so if I want to use my number with the Z10, can I just go into AT&T and ask for a micro Sim and pop it in?

    Really?

I'm in NJ, and the local store rep said I would have to pay 99 down payment today and 18$ for 24 months from hereon. I would get unlimited talk and text and for 20 bucks a month unlimited data but the full price of the phone would come out as $532

In Canada too. Some carriers advertise it at $550 net, if you cancel out. Most carriers will give you a $50 or $100 signing bonus if you play your cards right.

I don't pay attention to the so called starting price. It all has to be analyzed together with the entire monthly package.

That's the idea. All other carriers do is hide it in the price of the plan. Subsidized prices are all bs anyways...

There's a chart somewhere that shows Tmobile is cheaper for one person, but if you have more than one on your plan it's about the same. 4 or more and Tmobile is actually a bit pricier.
