    This is the first time I have had this issue. 3-4 months after this thread.
    None of the fixes in this thread work. I don't want to do a factory reset. My phone worked this morning when I used Linkedin and then when I added a contact to my phone I couldn't add a contact name and that's when the keyboard failed entirely.

    Please help. I don't want an iphone. I want to support Canada on something other than maple syrup

    My setting was already on "On." So, that's not it. Or..at least not for me.

    Mine did that a few months after I got it - wouldn't let me type even though you could see I was pressing keys, just wouldn't transfer to the screen! I ended up doing a factory reset through BlackBerry Link. Was not happy
