    Greetings CB Nation!

I have asked and couldn't find a response, but now that it is launched maybe some of you can answer that have touched the device...is the Z10 virtual keyboard operable in landscape mode like the Torch 9860 was? If so, is it full browsing and texting landscape or just one or the other? What about calling in landscape?

    Any info is greatly appreciated!

***IF ANYONE HAS THE Z10 IN HAND (KEVIN ) PLEASE TAKE A SCREEN SHOT OF THE KEYBOARD IN LANDSCAPE!
Inquiring minds would love to see! Thanks again!

Yeah, I thought it very strange that the demo today avoided changing phone orientation to show switch, or landscape keyboard use.

for me, the keyn ote was slightly weird in terms of features on the phone.. while they introduced the new apps.. they also repeated the flow and peek etc...

i too, wanted to see the keyboard in landscape, as well as other parts in landscape... i wanted them to introduce the voice control app... etc...

Coming from a physical keyboard (and still undecided between Z10 or Q10)...seems in landscape mode the keyboard takes most of the screen. How does this work out when filling in a bunch of fields on a web site, for example?

I wonder if removing or reducing the thickness of the frets in this mode would increase the available display area for everything else without compromising the BlackBerry feel.

I hope RIM did extensive testing to get the landscape keyboard look just right and this is truly the best it can look visually.

Huh?? I mean, talk about no screen real estate. No wonder they didnt show that off. Sad

It does look a little cramped, but I l-o-v-e spacious keyboards, and they disappear when its time to look at the screen (i.e. viewing the webpage, etc.) so the screen real estate reappears, and I actually don't miss a thing. In otherwords, while I'm typing, I don't mind it taking up space, because I'm typing. When I'm done typng, the keyboard is gone, and everything is back to normal, so I actually don't see a cramped screen.

From the looks of it, it takes up half the screen. I have the same annoyance with my 9800 but remember, this device is bigger so it shouldn't be as bad. Also, that screenshot is of the CB website and there's a lot of space at the top that are just titles, so maybe there is enough space for 2 or 3 text fields.

seems a bit of the screen real estate is taken away due to the presence of the browser's address bar.

How small do you want the landscape keyboard? So small that you complain that you cannot type sensibly on it? Really? Never happy.

Since I'm a U.S resident Ill have time to wait and see. Oh yea...Fml lol!

What phone have you used that has loads of screen real estate when typing with landscape? My Android has 0, maybe cuz it's old idk.

I can not use my keyboard in landscape mode with BBM .... What should I do?
But reading this other post (http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...dscape-767037/) BBM can use landscape mode if you access it via the HUB and not via the BBM app. I hope RIM fix this...
