This has been an issue ever since i bought the phone.. its kinda weird.. it heats up when its inside my pocket and its inside the holster.. could it be that its trying hard to get signal reception whenever its in my pocket thats why its heating up? But it shouldnt be that way right?

Z10 has hardware problems IMHO, I think I will pass to Q10 soon it should be built better.

It us due to a poor signal or no signal. I have the same issue sometimes. Try limiting the signal to 3g or 2g to see if that helps. Probably just poor logic in the OS and/or radio code.

I was thinking the same thing.. actually its on 3g/2g now.. but isnt it an automatic thing that when its hard for 3g signal it should just automatically switch to 2g? Its like.. it seldom makes the switch and instead its working hard to continously give me 3g

To my experience, whenever I travel my Z gets hotter and I'm on 2G only. I'm suspecting, it heats up when switching from one base station to another.

Yep, one tower to another. Plus you may using a bandwidth hungry app or two, which makes the radio talk a lot more than if it were a 4g connection.
