Hi, I need to know why my z10 drops about 50 % of the calls after the first ring.

I have no clue why it does that. I have several suspects:

    A) screen locked. I keep my phone with screen locked at all times. I know it should not matter, but who knows.

    B) otter box defender case. It should matter either.

    C) an app messing? I have several apps running but the only ones with some interactions with phone calling are Powertools and talk2watch. Again it should have nothing to with them either.

    D) poor cell signal? I have good signal where the drops are happening.

    E) I'm on Rogers. I have had other phones with Rogers and Np.

    What it is?

Are you concerned about disparaging an app? Have you contacted the developer to report your findings/reasons?

Most likely it's your carrier's coverage area. I've got T-Mobile and I rarely get, if not any, dropped calls when I'm in San Francisco. I frequently get spotty coverage when I'm not in a major metropolitan area.

Well, I was using the wave feature on an app that allows you to reject a call by simply waving your hand above the phone screen.

This feature seems to be very sensitive. It was causing my calls to be dropped.

Anyhow, I disable the feature and I have not lost a call in close to a month.

I contacted developer. Not much he can do as this is hardware/OS related.

Just delete the app then. No point in it taken up valuable space in your phone since it have such adverse effects

Send from the amazing powers of the ? Z30
