Z10 was a good phone save for the truly mediocre battery. But fortunately, BlackBerry realized the mistake and subsequent handsets have had reasonably spec-ed battery.

This (sub Ontario, Canada for UK). Runs great with leaked 10.3.1

Nothing wrong with the Z10 my one is still running strong and use had it since release date in the UK.

Very cool data (for what it is)... surprised that the Passport has more users than the Z30 already. It's pretty apparent from your data....that people that buy BlackBerry devices, seem to buy them for the keyboard.

Thus Chen's lack of interest in the all touch format.

I have used my Z10 since getting it on the UK release date. I have had no problems with it and I have hammered it daily.
I love it so much that after 2 years with it and 20 with T-Mob UK, this is the first time I have ever renewed my contract but kept my phone.
After making lots of noises about how I do not want any of the cr## they were trying to get me to upgrade to, even for reduced plan price. Original was 38 per month. Now 22 for same plan for 12 months.
All because I made such a song and dance about wanting to keep my Z10 as it's far superior to any of the current rubbish they have to offer.

I have my z10 almost since the launch! I am in Portugal and is very difficult to find someone with one in their hands...I am using 10.3.1 leak version. The unique issues I have is the contact app and the battery should be better. But after 2 years it's still a very nice phone comparing with top phones out there!!! There is few people using it just because of marketing and because the carriers don't have interest on it. Congratulations BlackBerry for this great phones ! I wanted to upgrade to a classic but I stop and I think why to change if my z10 has the same software and still working so well????

Because you rarely see BlackBerry products in the wild these days. If I go to Toronto Zoo I can guaranteed see a Panda. Can't say the same for BlackBerry phones. I can walk all day around Toronto with no luck to see single one. And it's in Canada, the home of BlackBerry.

From an accounting perspective, "sell-through" means end users. Inventory in stock at the manufacturer won't be sold if retailers are carrying too much. And if retailers are carrying too much, it poses a financial risk for the manufacturer because retailers will either want to return the inventory; or take manufacturer funded price cuts.

The Z10 write down was done in September 2013. It's now January 2015. The financial calls have provided guidance on this ever since. Chen and company cleaned it up.

I have had my Z10 since the AT&T launch and it is still going strong. Other than the battery life I have no complaints. It still looks great even though it has been dropped a few times on asphalt. Can't complain about the most reliable and durable phone by far of any brand I have owned.

Of course the Z10 is dead. Is the Galaxy S3 still a relevant smartphone today?
Actually, they are both relevant. I have a z10 and my girlfriend has a Galaxy s3. Both still work fine, but the galaxy is almost always tethered to a charger.

I can help you to solve your battery problem.....as blackberry suggested the solution for their customers....
    * Start your computer link your BB z10 through USB without battery.
    * When it show no battery icon and goes off then put battery in it.
    * After some time turn it on by pressing power button for a while
    * Wait for Z10 to ON and the it will show 0% battery if the battery wasn't charged
    * Unplug it from your computer and plug it into wall charger of BB z10
...having any problem....then feel free to contact me on skype.... my skype name is "cool.bacha1".

I'm a power user...I do everything on my phone! I'm still rocking the Z10 and loving it. I passed on the Z30 because I really find the Z10 screen that much nicer... and I'm patiently awaiting BlackBerry's next (hopefully) all touch flagship device.

My kids all use iPhones and they can't do half the things I can with my Z10, especially with file manager, integration with the cloud, email handling of all sorts of file types, direct wireless access to my desktop and server files, etc etc.
