Hi- I purchased a Z10 on e-bay that was locked to Rogers. I have no contract with Rogers but use a provider TBayTel which uses Rogers equipment and has an arrangement with TBaytel. I just have a pay-as-you go service and use wi-fi. Anyway, thought I might like to unlock the phone for the time I might travel with it. I have found out that this phone literally cannot be unlocked. I have tried 4 different companies all of which have refunded my unlocking fee. Has anyone else had this experience. We have No Rogers stores in our city so I cannot take it to them. I know that someone will tell me to take it to TBayTel office to check it there, and I will do that sometime next week, but just thought I would see if anyone else has had trouble like this.

It's very possible to do my We have 3 Zs in my family all of which are unlocked. Mine is from wind and I've used it with roam mobility in the US and Tim when I was in Italy. My Mom's and my brothers are also one wind but we're purchased different carriers one from rogers and one from telus.

Even a friend of mine a couple months ago switched over to wind with a rogers Z10. Something there is really wrong but like I said it is very possible to do.

I had the same problem, mine is a STL100-3 originally from telus, I had try 2 differents internet services without success, finally went to a local shop, he did it, cost me 45$. He said that he had to go with a general z10 code, not a telus one, if that could help you, good luck

FWIW: "Telus Mobility = Unlocking Code can be 8 or 16 digits (Some Phone Models require both Unlocking Code & Service Provider Code)."

Just an update to complete this thread--I finally got my Rogers z10 unlocked--the process took me almost 2 weeks! A very very long story that I won't go into but finally all is ok. The unlock code was an 8 digit code and once it was finally obtained, went smoothly on the first try.
