    Hi,

    Just received my White Z10 from VZW. When I launch the camera, I see almost a red screen with some lines on the bottom. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    doesnt sound normal,

    pull the battery and restart the camera.

    No, not a stupid answer at all...I did check that too - have removed all the film. The front facing camera works fine - its just the rear camera.

    The software is on 10.0.9.422...is that correct? I thought I remember seeing in the forums that a more updated version

    Flip the camera upside down and take the pictures again. See if the red lines follow the sensor location. If they still appear at the bottom then it's most likely the software in my opinion

    I have a white Verizon Z10 running 10.0.9.422 and mine doesn't do that. Sorry bud

    Looks like a hardware malfunction. Return it for a warranty replacement.

    Thanks all...actually I have to hand it to Verizon...While extremely frustrating to talk to them on the phone, the corporate store actually DROVE to another store to pick one up for me to make me happy. I'm stunned. But thankful - working white Z10 before the weekend!

    I too had the White Z10 from Verizon and my rear camera did not work! I used it fine once or twice, then last night I tried to bring up the camera and it loaded but would not see anything, not even lights! It was just a black screen. Front camera was fine. I rebooted, did a battery pull, nothing....so sadly I have to return it. I'm missing it already.
