Is anyone using this set up and having issues with outgoing sound issues? Everyone I talk to says it sounds crackly and sound drops in and out. In coming sound is fine. I've used 3 official Rogers os's and am currently on one of the 10.2 leaks and it is always the same. Thanks in advance.

    It's the visor blue tooth.

Had one of those a while ago.

Are you using the fm transmitter to listen to it through the stereo?

That used to cause a ton of static on mine.

I use the VM605 on a daily basis. Have had it now for 4 years and it's still going.

If you're listening on FM you should try retuning to another new available frequency. I know where I live the radio stations change more times than leaks get released, although I've been able to use 105.0mhz in the south of England for a while now (used to use 103.9mhz, the woman saying it is scared into my brain) . You can test this if it's easier on an FM radio in your home. Just be aware that long distance travelling may warrant retuning your device.

Sometimes you also get sound stutter (always happens on an iPhone for some reason) and found shutting down the visor and rebooting the blue tooth on the phone sorts this out (it does also go away after a while too).

Not sure how possible this could be but could you maybe get us a sound recording of that's happening?

Just wanted to add that the VM 605 head unit is a Jabra SP 700 on the inside. If you can get hold of one IIRC they're cheaper than the BlackBerry variant (i know that's a little anti RIM. But there's a Recession on )

I use them together and it works quite well. Like was mentioned above sometimes you need to tune to a new frequency if you're using the FM transmitter. The internal speaker alone is perfect.

Thanks for the advice. It works fine on all sounds coming to me, whether it be via fm transmitter and internal speaker. The problem is on the other end of the call. I will try an few of the things here and report back. Even try to get a recording on the other end (murphy's law pretty much states that it will work fine when I try that). I have had the 605 since it was released and this in the only phone it has had issues with. Loved it since day 1 but it may be time for a new love in my life.
