Slow, laggy, heatup problem and bad battery life. How is that the best? Z30 has better specs and is optimized

I've had 2 Z10s (100-1 & 100-2) never slow, never lagging. Battery life was improved on 10.3. I have a Z30 now anyway but the Z10 was for me an awesome phone

Definitely not the best but a good phone for being the first bb10 device http://mashable.com/2013/01/30/blackberry-z10-review/

My Stl 01 switches off at random battery percentage making it very unreliable, no scope of me calling it the best.

    I still have four Z10's...

To call it the best phone ever is a serious over statement. At release, it was half baked. Until 10.2 was released, it wasn't ready to be a daily driver.

Still has poor battery life and hangs some times.

The best phone I've owned is this one:

The OP was being just a little sarcastic, as you can tell.

To be fair, the Z10 had the most iconic design of any BlackBerry touchscreen smartphone. And its display that matched the PPI of iPhone was revolutionary for RIM.

I agree. It's the best smartphone I've ever had. If only it had a bigger battery and a bit better specs. The size and form factor is just perfect.

Z10 will always be the first BB10 phone. It's not perfect but I like it. And I think Z10 is a very good looking phone other than my now Classic.

Mines been pretty solid too. I actually feel quite guilty that I just ordered a Passport. Trying to think of a way I can use both.

Still use mine for work days, otherwise it the passport or the Z30. Battery life on all are just perfect. Makes me wonder how a two year old phone can still be found when I see the condition of iphones and Samsung and how they look after two years. They just don't stand up.

Had the Z10 for 2 years, moving to the classic in 2 weeks. The Z10 was a great phone with some early OS issues on 10.1 and 10.2.

I use my Z10 as a media streaming device. Mostly for Spotify. Works great and I still get to play with it sometimes. I tried to use it one weekend just for nostalgia and while the virtual keyboard is still 'fun' to use, it doesn't come close to the joy of using the Passport's keys. You'll enjoy the switch.
Z10 is a solid phone, the Z30 is better, the Passport is the bees' knees. Pretty curious about the mysterious slider though. But I have a feeling the Passport might still be boss in the end, perhaps just not the 'coolest'.

The only gripe i had with z10 is the battery life... Then z30 is superb in that...

But the size, handling and the screen of z10 is perfect... and its light weight too... feels premium in hand...

Its not the best phone... but yeah a really good one...
I think the Z30 is the best but was let down by poor marketing by BlackBerry during the troubled times when they were seeking a buyer.

Despite its several flaws, this wee ph (about same size as my old S2) keeps growing on me 0_o

At the moment I couldn't imagine using anything else ^^

Definitely the best for me right now ;-)

Nah. I loved my z10 and loved bb10 but had to let it go. Couldn't live with 6-8hrs of battery per charge. I'll come back when BlackBerry makes a true z10 2. Not interested in the z30.

Z10 screen size is perfect. A bit more heavy battery and updated ram would be perfect. Z30 is good but heavy. The z10 feels so light.

I do prefer the battery life on the Z30, speed of processor, and glass weave back.

I have a Z10 and I quite like it but let's be objective.

The Z10 isn't very good compared to the competition.

    1. It doesn't have the best screen or even close to the best screen. (It's perfectly fine though, just not near "the best").
    2. It doesn't have the fastest chip or even close to the fastest chip. (Again, perfectly fine, not the best).
    3. It has a bad camera. It works, but it's not a good camera.
    4. It doesn't have good battery life.
    5. BB10 had a rough start. 10.1 was lacking simple things like having more than a single alarm. If you wanted more than one alarm you had to go into the app store where people knew about the lack of alarms so they would charge you like $5 to get an app that had more than one alarm. You might not think this was a big deal but if you count how long it took many of us to get 10.2.... that was a long time to only have a single alarm (for those of us who use alarms often).
    6. It has very few apps. "You can use Android apps!" Well... I remember people used to brag about how BB10 ran Android apps better than Android. I was excited and installed my first Android app only to find out people were fan boying out of their butts. Android apps on 10.1 ran like they would on an Android phone 6 generations old, when they would run at all. Then someone said "10.2 changes all that and that DOES run Android apps better than Android!" I was skeptical but tried anyways when we finally got 10.2. Snap came out too which made it easy to find Android apps and install them. Again, many apps didn't work, but it was still nice to have so many available. Of course it didn't run Android apps even close to "almost as well" as Android apps, but it worked. But seriously, don't trust anyone who will make that claim. BB10 runs a fair share of Android apps, but it doesn't do it well. It does it adequately.

Don't get me wrong. Like I said, I quite like my Z10. I love the ability to hot swap batteries (I'm ok with the bad battery life cuz of this). I love the gestures, I love the multitasking, I love hub. If BB10 devices had better cameras and BB stayed on top of things in updating their OS and the US carriers were good about releasing the updates quickly, I would definitely stick with Blackberry. As it is though, I'll have to wait and see what happens in the future.
