Could you post some more info? If you posted which OS you are on that could help us Crackberry community help you! Post the amount of apps you have etc... Thanks!!

Understatement of the year OP. I was happy with 4 hours per battery (and I always carried an extra 4 batteries). But some people will tell you that they get 30 hours and swear they aren't in an insane asylum all in the same breath. I'll leave the reality of the situation up to you.

Actually what you describe as bad with 7% left I would call a Z10 miracle.

Mine can go all day while I'm busy working but if I actually want to use it then we're talking ~6 hours continuous use at most and more likely it is closer to 2-3 hours.

I think we can all come a conclusion that the Z10 has a bad battery and no OS will fix it. Maybe and upgraded Z10 or if BlackBerry make a bigger battery in the same size.

That's an issue with the OS / battery calibration not reporting proper charge. Unplug charger, wait a few seconds and plug back in. It will show 100% in a minute or two. It's a very annoying issue. It happens more often when you swap batteries.

The battery on the Z10 isn't good by any stretch, if you get through your work day that's probably as good as it gets, for those that says they get 20 + hours - definitely aren't heavy users by any stretch of the imagination. My Q10 will last about 12hrs on a busy day, on slow days like the weekend, I don't need to charge it till Sunday night and that's because I need a full battery for Monday morning abuse.

I've come to accept this issue and will get a second battery and charger soon. While I miss my Q10 I rather have my bigger screen. And eventually may get the classic if the screen is a bit bigger than the. Q10.

When people say "heavy user" or "light user" etc, I'm interested in what people are claiming. I have a job so I can't play games all day. I have several email accounts running, along with using the phone as a phone (calls/text) many times throughout the day. Lunch sees me stream/lookup/etc the net for an hour or so. I am still in the 60% bracket when I get home (5:30am - 5:00pm). I tend to "play" after dinner, when all the normal evening things are done (sports, chores etc). A few hours browsing, gaming, streaming before bed. Still fuel left in the tank. Is this considered light? Periods of little to no activity spotted with small intense use, followed by a continual push till I recharge. My display is usually 20-30% in battery monitor.

I am one of those loonies that get 24 hours from a charge. 3 email accounts on push - only 3g (my carrier is cheap and cheerful), calls/texts/games/browsing. What more is there? Oh, no social ****. Thats my one thing.

Whoops, forgot the camera. I take lots of photos. Hmmm, averaging about 10/day according the folder. I also take videos, but not as many as photos. Plus of course CB

I can get 24 hours most days too, about like you, have a JOB lol, so don't play all day, but lots of talk, text, and more active after work. I do not play any games though.

I really like my Z10 its simply one of the best phones I've ever owned. But the battery life on my Zed is well not good. So recently I decided to buy a external battery case made by lifecharge to help supplement my Zed I'm hoping this will greatly enhance my Zed's battery life. By the way I'll let you know if it helps. I hope it does.

I'm having the same issue with both my Z10 and Q10. I can charge fully to 100% and as soon as I disconnect within a couple mins I'm down to 97%. I have a feeling it's the update. But I'm willing to buy another battery for both of them just to see if that could be a possible issue.

I went 12 hours today with medium use, used it quite a bit. I have 4 email accounts as well synced. 15% left. But there are other days where I'm done at 5pm heavier usage. I'm quite happy with battery but it could be better. This is on area where BlackBerry messed it up. The Z10 needed a bigger battery.

I have battery issues with mine too, although not as severe as some others have reported.

There is an interesting thread in this forum about how turning off BlackBerry Link (and perhaps Location Services) can improve battery life located here: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...uickly-889025/. It's worth a look.

I mean if you leave active frames on a all day and play games all day and are surprised with 4 hours.. then Idk.

Personally I get between 6-12 hours depending on what I do. Heavy user but it still all depends

Hi, ever since my latest update to 10.2.1.2102 my battery has been terrible. It barely lasts 4 hours. I have no android apps installed, i never leave apps open, it just runs down extremely quickly. I've had my Z10 since launch week here in the UK and it has never been this bad, does anyone know what might be the problem? Also, since a couple of updates back the sensors (light/proximity) just don't work at all. BlackBerry Virtual Expert even says they just don't work but I don't know how to sort it out, i cant use my phone for calls because my ear just presses buttons during calls, I really love my Z10 but am getting to the point where I've got to get rid of it and get an Android if i want to do simple things like make a call or keep it on for more than 4 hours, please help guys, you're the best when it comes to this kind of stuff and I really could do with your help.

That sounds like a battery calibration issue rather then it draining fast. Might want to try draining it completely then fully recharging, or try another battery! they are cheap and will give you a spare anyway so it's not really a waste
